3 Bugs Chloe and Dawson Meet Marissa and Erik 10 comments
Posted by bluejeans7 Most of my fellow CT girls know that I have been a 3 Bugs In A Rug fan for a long time. I have always loved their products and I have done many 3 Bugs reveals. LOL! I was really excited to see a new girl and boy line with their lastest release. I am very lucky that I have both girl and boy photos to scrap with so I begged Pam for both lines. I love the bright bold patterns and colors with both the Chloe and Dawson lines. And the fact that they are double-sided is an extra bonus. I love how the border stickers and chit chat stickers are textured, very cool!
3 Bugs In A Rug Chloe line meets my daughter, Marissa..... Your Smile Tickles My Heart: The Chloe line is such a sweet girls line, I love the colors and designs. For my first layout I started with the Chloe Stripe paper and the back side (green dot) of the Bicycle paper for my background. Then I "framed" out my photo with the Dress-Up paper and thin scalloped borders of the Growing-Up paper. Next I cut a circle from the Mini-Floral paper for my title letters. Then I added some Chloe Chit Chat stickers and Chloe Die-Cut Shapes for my date. To finish up my layout I embellished it with a Prima butterfly, Making Memories dark pink rose ribbon and Zva Creative chocolate pearls.
Cute As A Button: The bold pattern of the Chloe Borders paper was just perfect to start off my next layout. I paired it with the Mini-Floral paper, Bloomers paper, a border sticker and a border die-cut. The green dots side of the Bicycle paper peeks out from the top left corner, I got this idea from a PageMap sketch. Then I added my title, date on a die-cut shape, a chit chat sticker and some buttons to finish this layout.
Little Miss Sunshine: I totally loved the design of the Growing-Up paper so I started my last "Chloe" layout with it as my background. I didn't want to cover the flower design on it so I layered the Mini-Floral paper, the green dots side of the Bicycle paper, a border sticker and my photos at the top. Then to accent the flowers I traced them with green, blue and pink Stickles. A pearl "center" finished them up.
3 Bugs In A Rug Dawson line meets my son, Erik........ Sweet Boy Of Mine: My favorite pattern paper from the Dawson line is the Stars paper, this is what I used as my background paper on this layout. Then I layered on Dawson Border paper, Dawson Stripe paper, the orange dot side of the Dino Patch paper, border stickers, chit chat stickers, and border die-cut shapes. To add something extra to the Stars paper I went back and accented each star with a dot of Firefly Stickles.
Our Silly Boy: The Hazard cardstock from Bazzill matches the Dawson line perfectly, thanks to ACOT for matching up cardstocks in the shop for us. I used the navy stars side of the D Is For Dinosaurs paper and cut a 5" circle on my Cricut. Then I cut a piece from the Dino Patch paper for my title. Next I cut pieces from the T-Rex and Dawson Stripe paper. After all of my papers and photo was in place I added some chit chat stickers, border stickers, border die-cut shape, brads and my title. Then I wrote my journaling on one of the lined die-cut shapes and hand-cut a cute dinosaur form the Dino Party paper.
Blessing From Above: My last layout features the papers: Dawson Stripe, D Is For Dinosaurs (navy stars side), T-Rex, Stars, and Dino Patch. Again I hand-cut a couple dinosaurs from the Dino Party paper to use as embellishments. The Dawson line is really a great line for little boys and I enjoyed working with it.
