My first time trying this brand of ink pad. The pad was wetter and spongier than I expected, so there is absolutely no need to press down with your stamp! Just a tap will do. The color is bold and you cannot go wrong with a basic black. The pad is raised with no edge so you can use it to stain. The only thing I wish was different is the removable cover, it's fairly loose. A snap cover would've been perfect, but I will store it in the little plastic baggie.

I must learn to use a lighter touch as these are quite juicy.

This is the best black dye ink for stamping images and then coloring with copics or colored pencils.

Rich black ink, stamps crisply and cleans up from stamps well.

Love CP inks! Happy colors! Be forewarned. midnight will stain your stamps. I don’t mind, though. Great ink for watercolor.
