Green At Heart
by Basic Grey
I fell in love with the Basic Grey Green At Heart line as soon as I saw the CHA previews for it! But this line is even better in person. I love the mix of colors and designs on the pattern papers. And the embellishments…………………….WOW!! There are so many different fun, cute, amazing embellishments to choose from. The Green At Heart line is one line you need to get your hands on. Believe me you will be sorry if you miss out on it. LOL! It's not often when you find a line that can work with photos of Mother's Day, girls, boys, farm kids, back to school and even more! I had a blast playing with this line for my CT reveal.
A Mother's Love Never Stops Growing: When I first opened the Green At Heart chipboard sticker shapes and saw the tree, I knew I wanted to use it on one of my reveal layouts. So I paired it with this photo of Erik and I which was taken on Mother's Day in 2009. I embellished the chipboard tree with two chipboard hearts and some of the smallest buttons from the Green At Heart button package. The pattern papers I used on this layout are Emerald, Grasshopper, Seedling and Kelly.
Farm Kids Fun!: I totally love how the Green At Heart line works for so many different types of photos and themes. First I scrapped a Mother's Day layout and then a farm kids layout. I started with the Apple paper, which is the darker of the green papers. Then I layered on the Envy and Grasshopper papers. One of the Pieces die cuts was just the right size for my journaling and I love the texture of the stitching on the Bloomers.
My Brown Eyed Girl: Now for a girly layout. The purples and pinks in this line matched Marissa's photo perfectly. I started with the Basil and then layered on the Grass, Seedling and Vert papers. I am in love with the Stitched Brads! These brads are bigger than I thought and the detail is awesome. I love that there is bling on some of them. I also added some beautiful Prima flowers and Zva Creative pearl bling.
Nature Loving Boy: My son Erik loves to be outside and he is always exploring everything. I wanted to show that you could use the Green At Heart line for a boy layout too. So I picked out papers that feature more of the greens, oranges and tans in this line: Moss, Seedling, Oscar, Emerald and Jungle. The cute Woolies animals were the perfect embellishments!
A Mother's Love Is Unconditional: These photos were taken on Mother's Day 2008. I really liked how they turned out so I had an 8×12 photo with a border made of my favorite shot. I paired it with a 5×7 and two 4×6's that I trimmed down. I cut my papers (Kelly, Recycle, and Vert) so that the lines and design flowed across my double page layout. For embellishments I used the Green At Heart Pops, Prima flowers and Zva Creative pearl bling.
First Day Back: For this layout I started with the Bazzill Parakeet cardstock, which matches the Green At Heart line perfectly. Then I used the Vert and Emerald pattern papers. On the scalloped border I alternated the Glazed Brads and Buttons. A couple Woolies and Pieces finish off this layout.
