Good Morning! I think it is going to be another gorgeous day here in Florida. Not too hot and sunny bright! My dh may get discharged from the hospital today, but a problem came up yesterday so maybe not. We'll see. Waiting.....................waiting. That is what I am doing today. LOL
What are you going to do with this blessing of a day?
Hope your dh gets out today. I'm off from work today so have some stuff to do around the house. I just put my seedlings outside for some sun (daisies and zinnias), going to run some errands.
Love daisies and zinnias.butterfly843 wrote:Hope your dh gets out today. I'm off from work today so have some stuff to do around the house. I just put my seedlings outside for some sun (daisies and zinnias), going to run some errands.

Good morning Bibi!
My fingers are crossed that your hubby gets to come home today. I really believe people rest and heal better in their own surroundings. Doctors and nurses are wonderful, but hospitals are noisy, and often drafty; its just something that cannot be helped. Like Dorothy said in the Wizard Of Oz ~ There's no place like home!
Chilly start here but it is supposed to reach 70 this afternoon. I actually got some scrapping done last night and am trying to decide if I should comp out of work early today and go home to scrap some more while I am still in the mood
Hope everyone has a gorgeous day no matter the weather outside!

Good morning! Yes Bibi, I am sorry to hear there was a setback, so I pray it gets worked out today and DH gets to go home! I agree that sometimes you can recover much faster at home! After a couple of chilly days, we will be knocking on 80 today, so the weather is gorgeous! DH has the day off, and we are going to grill out some steaks later. We both have been looking forward to this. I have been working on Brandy's recipe challenge, BUT it is truly a challenge, so I am hoping I can get past all the mental blocks and finish it! I hope you all have a great day!
Susan

Good morning ladies. It's cloudy and cold here but it's a good day to get some stuff done. After working in the morning I'm going to finally take pics of my layouts and submit them for the challenges. I've been slacking in that department. I have done a lot of scrapping in the last 2 weeks but haven't uploaded them yet. Have a great day everyone.
Good morning! The sun is finally out here. Sadly, I woke up with a headache (pretty rare for me) and it's showing no signs of leaving anytime soon
Drinking coffee and took a migraine pill to see if it helps, otherwise will be a loooooong evening teaching later. No AM work for me, so taking care of laundry, dusting, and other various chores.....if I can keep some motivation going.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Hope you feel better soon. Maybe you should lie down for a while and see if that helps. When I had migraines, it always helped if I were able to sleep, even for very short times. Now I only get them in my eyes for a few seconds. No worries about that.ernstem wrote:Good morning! The sun is finally out here. Good morning, Cherries.
Nothing much going on here. Just took muffins out of the oven. Am still stewing over the fact that my former office manager has put my "retirement" party off again. I retired Feb 29 and you gals know how that happened. They put off the party till March 30 and now have postponed it again until April sometime. I'm thinking my 23 years of service really didn't mean a damn thing to them!! I'd like to tell them to just forget it and mail the card they have for me and keep the gift they supposedly purchased.

CharleneI just read your other post about your DH, hope he's better soon, and yes, I'll echo the "Heal better at home" replies. I know I always felt better after a hospital stint at home. When people go to the hospital to rest, where do they go? Not any hospital I've ever been in!
As for migraines - YUCK. I get them too, but not recently - they've seen to left my life since menopause. YAY!! So maybe that's another good thing about this age!! Mine were "hereditary" - thanks Grandma - and now I passed them on to my son, and my niece gets them as well. Here's hoping you feel better soon. Dark room, yep, lots of caffeine. Chocolate has caffeine, too, ya know!:winkb:
Off to hit lunch, my boss is off, and my buddy here at work took off - hurray for her - her son just came home - he's DONE with his tour of duty with the Marines. I thank him and all the others that are serving us, but I'm so glad Kurt's home!! And he arrived back home from Virginia with his wife to await their new baby!

CharleneHaving a hard time seeing sunshine today...could use some good thoughts from all you cherries. My oldest is doing some things that just break my heart, and there is nothing I can do about it. I'll share more when I have processed some of the emotions and can talk about it, but it's very hurtful.
Otherwise, I worked last night, I work tonight, I slept about 4 1/2 hours. Not much else to my day today.

Yes, Nancy, our kids know how to push our buttons and how to break our hearts, too. I am sorry that you have to know about this child's misbehavior (?). Even though my children are adults now, my oldest son (42yrs old) still makes harmful to himself decisions. I know about the broken heart. So, I am sending you lots of positive thoughts and prayers and xoxoxo.Ayla wrote:Having a hard time seeing sunshine today...could use some good thoughts from all you cherries.
