Prayers for my bf- ***Final update***

For the past 2 weeks, my bf has been sick. It started with him having fevers and not being able to keep anything down. Then, he became really tired all the time. When he went to the doctor the first time, his white count was elevated, so they thought it was an infection and gave him antibiotics. Last week, he wasn't doing any better, so the took samples of lymph fluid. Friday the results came back and he has melanoma. I don't know what stage it's in, but I'm concerned that they found it in the lymph fluid. He goes back to the doctor tomorrow to go over treatment options. Please keep him in your prayers that he will beat this.**So, he's been doing radiation treatment for 6 weeks now. He has a stage 2 tumor in his lower right leg and it hasn't gotten any smaller. But it hasn't gotten any bigger either. He's on chemo drugs that are making him sick all the time, and he sleeps 14+ hours a day. He's very depressed all the time and is having a hard time with the news that the tumor hasn't shrunk any. Please keep him (and me) in your prayers.** 9/3- He found out last week that the cancer has spread. The doctors are giving him about 8 months to live. They said he won't make his 30th birthday. He decided to quit treatment, since it's not doing anything at all. He's going to see a specialist in LA this week at his brother's urging, to get a 2nd opinion, but he's pretty sure their prognosis will be the same. So next month, he's going to move out to LA to be with his brother and sister, who will take care of him when the time comes. Thank you to those who have been praying for him.*** So he left last week. He had a lump on one leg, but the cancer had spread all the way up the other leg and was making it's way to his liver and kidneys. He's going to work in the machine shop they inherited from his dad so that his brother (who is running it) can get him insurance. But, he was already getting weaker when he left, so he wasn't sure how long he was going to be able to work. Our trip to Vegas was a blast and just what he needed! It was a good way to end everything between us, as he wanted me to move on with my life. Not going to be an easy thing for me to do...Again, thank you all for your prayers. It has been a very difficult time for both of us. Please keep him in your prayers that he doesn't endure too much pain through the rest of his time and also for me, that my broken heart will heal.

They pretty much agreed with the drs here. Actually gave him 6-8 mos. I get a few more weeks with him here (if he'll let me spend some time with him) before he moves out to Cali. We're going to Vegas next week- kinda one last hurah before he leaves. I've just got to pull myself together enough so I don't cry on the trip.Thank you to everyone who's been praying. Please continue to keep us in your prayers as it's going to be a hard goodbye.
