Brandon is out of surgery, everything went well. The surgeon was able to repair his heart valve instead of replacing it which is wonderful news. Thanks for all your good thoughts and prayers.
UPDATE:
Brandon is doing well. Morphine is his friend. They got him out of bed this morning into a chair. His central line is out as is some other wires and tubes. He may leave ICU by this evening and go to the main floor. He should be coming home Fri/Sat if all goes well.
For those who are wondering what happened -- he developed an infection in his blood this past spring. The infection settled in his heart and damaged his heart valve. Brandon is my son and also our IT guy at A Cherry on Top.
