Don't these ladies do good work? I had fun creating that paisley paper for Paisley (I really didn't do it for Laura, I did it for Paisley, LOL). I giggled the whole time I worked on it, imagining how much fun Laura would have with it. And I think the idea of scrapping about how much you wish you had a dog, like Laurie did, is really creative. Like everyone else, I love Sarah's circles--what an amazing way to give you all a good look at all the papers in the kit! Karen, I have to admit I tried that technique you've been using and that I love and all I managed to create was a mess, LOL. One of these days I'll give it another go. Obviously, I got something in the wrong order or in the wrong place. Musta been one of my more distracted days. I was thinking when I was looking at your layout that it is an excellent way to mute colors in a photograph--you know, when they don't QUITE go with the kit you want to use.......
I had a lot of fun creating that kit. And there are some unique things in it. For example, I researched on the internet to find the most popular doggy names. One paper is covered with paw print outlines and about 45 of those names. I've also hidden my own doggies' names in there as well. And there is a blank space for you to hide your doggy's name too, complete with instructions on what font to use if you want to match the one I used. I had a lot of fun with the word art strips too!
Yes, non-digi ladies, you CAN print digi papers out and use them with scissors and glue. There is so much more variety available in digi than there is in paper products. That, and the challenge, is what made me switch (and the fact that I got half a room back when I donated all the paper stuff to my church's school, LOL--I am the heroine of the art department. They're thinking of creating a papier mache' statue in my honor, LOL). I am thinking of doing a series of tutorials on doing digi layouts. Nothing fancy, just the basics. Would that help anyone out?
In the meantime, I'm so glad you all like the kit. I think it's cute, but then I'm a bit prejudiced. I always kind of hold my breath for your reaction!
