So is anyone getting their ideas ready- plans- goals for 2011 lined up yet?
I'm planning on doing two ABC books, 2 different 8 1/2 x 11 books for family members, and working on my recipe books a lot this year.
My biggest goal though is to get a lot of the pictures that I have printed out and scrapped - if I worked 24-7 all year I still don't think it would make a dent in them but I'm going to give it a big try.
I'm interested in hearing all of your plans.
Janet, I, too, have a never-ending supply of photos and take more every week of my life. I guess that means I'll scrap as long as I'm able. My BIG goal is to complete my granddaughter's albums for her tenth b-day, March 18. I still have so much to do. I originally planned to place the pages in two separate albums, but now I think I'll need three or four...just not sure. I purchased two already. Now that my grandson is here, I receive photos regularly, so I am determined to keep up with his albums. My dd is expecting her first child, and we are beyond thrilled. I already started her pregnancy album! I want it to include photos of her, of course, but also foods she craves, maternity clothes, books she buys, etc. In addition, I plan to truly make the book one the child will appreciate when he or she is older. I want to put information about the world--news, prices, best movies, etc.--during the time my dd is pg. Remember when we were not allowed to say the word "pregnant"? Ha! I will be busy every day of 2011.

It sure sounds like you have some great projects planned and they are going to really treasure every single thing that you put into them.
My project is to just scrap more, but I do have a few things I need to work on.
Finish up DS's (4 years old) baby book
Start DD's (5 mos old) baby book
Make baby book for newest niece due 2/18

I would like to scrap more with friends. I scrap alone or go to crops alone. I don't have any friends who scrap so I have been looking for some new friends that like to scrap. My sister scraps but she hasn't had time. I joined 2 meetup groups in my area, sadly there are no scrapping groups, but one group is for walkers and another a book club. I'm hoping to meet new people and maybe they scrap or know someone who does. At least I have ACOT to find online friends who love to scrap

ask the people in your other clubs...you might be surprised and find someone who does scrap...or who would like to scrap. 2 of my scrap-buddies live in different states..so we post on facebook ideas and pictures of what we are working on, or questions about techniques and supplies.

I would like to finish my 2007, 2008 nand 2009 albums, but I have a good feelig that won't happen, but it would be great to catch up....this year I did P365 for 2010 and I think I am going to count that as my 2010 album
I haven't printed pics since my son was about 5 months old in 2007!
~Angie~LOL I remember not being allowed to say the word "pregnant". The correct term back then was "expecting". And Heaven forbid if you showed off your tummy. It was always hidden under a big loose maternity top. Thanks for bringing back some great memories. It all seems so silly now.MimaScraps wrote:Janet, I, too, have a never-ending supply of photos and take more every week of my life. I guess that means I'll scrap as long as I'm able. I made a recent goal to get all my pictures from 2010 uploaded off site and printed. I'm really close and so I guess my goal will be to get them all scrapped! I have them all organized by theme, event, and even put little post its planning the pages for them so I'm on track. I don't really scrap chronologically so as long as I scrap all of 2010 by the end of 2011, I'll be happy!
Well I'm gonna try p 365 again.... So my main goal will to be to scrap those pictures, I'm sure using templets but that is okay. I'm also on my two lovely CT's and hope to keep up with them. I may try for a third in the future but am not sure as I love and adore the two I'm on.
I would love to start printing more. I printed a few this past year and Love how they came out. So I may make it a challenge to see how many I can get printed this coming year. Rather than spending tons of supplies.

I started an album for my bil/sil for their twins. I need to finish it soon! At least pages for the first year.
Other than that, I'd like to find the time/energy to scrap every week.

I've never set goals for my scrapping. I have a list of things I need to do, but never seem to get to them year after year (like my childhood, DH's childhood, catching up DD's baby pages, etc). And this year I need to add to the list: finishing all the scrapping my mom didn't get finished before she died (stuff from the late 60s, 70s, 80s, etc), and I want to make an album of her and DD so that she doesn't forget my mom, and then I need to do something with emails and stories friends have sent about my mom with pictures from the last few years. I think it will be extremely difficult for me, especially when I'm trying to make so many other changes in my life (getting organized, sorting through all my mom's things and trying to lose a bunch of weight)...so I'll just have to see what I can get to. At the very least, I have monthly commitments to a CT and I'm hoping to continue challenges here so I can still work through some of the huge backlog I have. It's going to be a crazy year...
My scrapping goal is to finish my wedding album, my DH's fishing album and our Daytona album. They are all about 90% done so it would be the final push to finish them up. Now that I have my own little camera, I'm going to try P365 again also! It was harder when DH & I were sharing a camera, so now that I have my own, I can keep it with me in my purse & take shots as things occur. I'd like to scrap them too, but it would be definite multi-layouts.
I'd also like to complete at least 5 challenges each month and make 5 Christmas cards each month. I also want to attend CKU in Jacksonville in Sept!

I'd like to get back to scrapping on a consistent basis. When my schedule changed and I lost my 7 days off in a row, I've lost most of my scrap time. Hopefully, I'll figure out how to get everything done and still have time to scrap!
Rebecca

I really enjoy making travel albums and I have 5 to do in 2011 to get caught up. Then it's on to scanning all my heritage photos and my kids' pictures that are sitting in boxes.

I have several ideas in mind for albums. One is started and up to date. It can't be finished until March 2011, because it is the first year of DD and her BF. Then I have to start the album for my great nephew. He will be 1 on Feb 11. I have been taking pictures, but have not printed a single one out yet. I want to have it all finished for his bday to give to his mom. Of course I will have to save a page for his bday party and add that to it to finish it off for her. Then I have t start the oldest DD's album, DH's album of his 1967 Mustang. I also have ideas for softball and dance albums for both the the DDs. I am also planning on starting a Sister's album for each of the girls. I haev already started picking out pictures for that album.
So I have lots of ideas and I am hoping that it will all come together throughout 2011. After tomorrow I am off of work until Jan. 10, so my goal is to take those days and get organized and started with my scrappy albums. I just can't wait to put my new Cricut to work.

Mildred - Mom to 2 girls and a husband (I tell people that I am a single mom of 3. Ages 61, 39 and 33) lol. And a proud Grandma to Orahn (8) Sawyer (6) and Mazie (4).

well, I think my scrappy goal should be to finish the projects I have started or committed to before I start any others!!! I even have stuff to do class projects for about two years worth of ACOT crops that I haven't done
I do have to say though that I committed to the first ABC Book and it's a gift for dil. It was supposed to be for Christmas but the cover is off at Creative Memories being engraved and not back yet, so I decided to make it a birthday present (yesterday was her birthday but I am having the kids over to celebrate and coioking on Sunday - *praying* the cover comes back this week) - I only have 4 LO's to finish in this challenge and I am work-free the rest of the week
After that, I am starting my December Daily, which I have been journaling about, and taking photos for! 20100, I will be more on the ball

I'm impressed and very happy that you got your first ABC book done- I'm sure she's really going to love it.
no specific goals. But I do want to do more altered projects and cards. so that is it really.
I would love to scrap more pages. I need to plan a night out of the week that is just for me to work on my pages. I would like to finish up my vacation album and make a monthly page about what we have done during the month so I will have a complete album by the end of the year. I need to scrap more about me and my DH and not just about my boys. I have several pages that have been started and not finished, and those need to be completed and put in the album.
Gosh, that's alot!
