Welcome to the 24th month of this challenge, I am not sure how many months this will run but it has been fun so far, actually did not think it would run this long. Never thought it would last two years and I feel like this two year period has completely flown by!! I have LOVED everyone's layouts and their take on the challenges, some of the stories shared have really touched my heart and I believe that is what this challenge is all about - telling OUR stories. After a conversation with my 22 year old son (now 24) about a certain event, it occurred to me that we, the scrappers are usually behind the camera and often fail to scrap ourselves - this is a means to remedy that. We all have pictures of ourselves that we are not fans of...your kids don't care!!! That was the lesson of that conversation.
Sooooo....in light of that, this challenge is to get YOU in your albums, your kids albums, your grandkids albums, they want to see YOU!!!
July - already. The month of patriotism, red, white and blue and love for America. With that in mind, here is your challenge. This is a crazy time in America right now no matter what side you are on. This challenge is NOT, ABSOLUTELY NOT meant to stir a political pot. Your challenge is to create a layout about what America means to you. It can be something as simple as baseball and apple pie or as complicated as you wish it to be. This is NOT a Fourth of July family BBQ Challenge!!! Remember these challenges are meant to be thought provoking and give your family a glimpse into who YOU are.
Challenge requirements - make a layout with at least four lines of journaling about what your country means to you. There must be a picture of JUST YOU on the layout. Lastly, I ask that we all be respectful of each other and each ones story/feelings. This is meant to be fun...not a fire starter. If you do not live in America as I know there are a couple of dear Cherries here that don't - please make your layout fit the same requirements but with the country you live in. Before the question is asked...if you live here, you do USA, not the country of your birth or heritage. That may come at another time.
