Welcome to the 30th month of this challenge, I am not sure how many months this will run but it has been fun so far. 


I have LOVED everyone's layouts and their take on the challenges, some of the stories shared have really touched my heart and I believe that is what this challenge is all about - telling OUR stories.  After a conversation with my 22 year old son (now 25) about a certain event, it occurred to me that we, the scrappers are usually behind the camera and often fail to scrap ourselves - this is a means to remedy that. 

Sooooo....in light of that, this challenge is to get YOU in your albums, your kids albums, your grandkids albums, they want to see YOU!!!  February 2026--  I am now about a month back from our latest vacation.  I love to travel and see things I have never seen but I also like to revisit places I love.  One of my very favorite places is the Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina.  I love the gardens, the house, the miniseries North and South that was filmed there.  The history is sad and hard to understand sometimes but it is a beautiful place.  YOUR challenge this month is create a layout of a place that you absolutely love.  It does not have to be a vacation spot but it has to be someplace OTHER than your own home. Your layout MUST have a picture of ONLY you.

For our 27th wedding anniversary, my hubby and I stayed at the Mission Inn in Riverside, CA. It is a huge hotel and truly unique with the architectural detailing making you feel like you are in a Spanish castle! We loved it and hope to stay there again.

My LO is a favorite meeting place for a dear friend and I.  We try to meet up every 3-4 weeks and spend a few hours chatting.  Since I had to use only a picture of myself, the ones of both of us are tucked behind the larger photo.  I will also do a journal page of them.  Combined with the My Mood, 30 Prompt and used the weekly sketch.

Hi, being that five other people have already done it that way with only themselves, I think it is best to just leave it that way.

No worries, everyone else has only done themselves, - them only -  so I think it is only fair to leave it that way.

Thanks for clarifying. For my birthday present from Benjamin I asked him to be in as many photos as I asked for and I wanted to do that place.  But the one photo of only me isn’t worth a whole page. At least not when I’m trying to get over 400 photos from one vacation into a single album.

I don’t know if this qualifies.  I am on the trails around farms near the barn where I boarded my horse.  It is not my home.  I wanted to complete my album for my belated horse.  Since is was just me in the photo, I thought it would be okay for this challenge.  If it doesn’t qualify, just don’t enter my name.  Thanks so much for hosting!

I absolutely loved the Van Gogh Immersion Experience!  Here i am in my lawn chair watching the wonderful paintings of Van Gogh all around me, on the floor, walls, ceilings.  And I was able to experience it with my son.  But he is on the other page.   Thank you! I forgot to say I combined with the 3 in a row.
