Since I'm staying inside to beat the heat, I thought I'd post this a day early.    In July, I almost always go with a patriotic (USA) mood board, but it is so hot, and I want to change it up, so when I think heat, I think warm colors, especially orange!  For your challenge, you must use orange (at least 50% of your layout), and you can pair it with a color of your choice, plus any neutrals.  Choose 3 additional items from the mood board below to create your layout.  (Sorry about the skeleton...I got this from Pinterest, and liked the rest of it.)



*You have until midnight, July 31st to upload your layout into the gallery spot provided to be entered into the prize drawing.
*Must be a new layout.
*Can be combined with one other challenge that allows combining, plus any challenges requiring multiple prompts (Bi-monthly, Team, and 100 Papers challenges, etc.)

It's adorable!  I find that happens to me all the time, when I do a layout.  But, you get to choose another color to use with the orange this time!

Mood Board - Orange with inspiration from skeleton, stripes (tiger) and word strips. Combined with July 3-in-a-Row.

Orange is not my forte! But...I thought it might be fun to do something retro with it. I used a weird orange shade for the background. Was inspired by the booth pictures to do use photos from an establishment, i was inspired by the Converse shoes to use stars and some circular elements. And the tiger inspired me to color some stripes on my letter dies.

I used the grid design, orange flowers (from the bike pic top left), stripes like tiger stripes, feet (from the Converse shoe bottom left), and stars (the sneaker again).
I combined this with the My Mood challenge.

The mood board inspo was bicycle pictures, tiger rub ons, block letters (you got this) in eye of the tiger, and you got this theme for believe in yourself and dream elements

My take on this month's mood board challenge: in addition to mono orange on my layout, I used capital block letters for my title, stars (from the converse shoes), and orange stripe paper (like the tiger - paper behind my main photo).

Combined with Pet challenge. I was inspired by  the tiger - cat in photos; car dial, steering wheel - enamel dots/circles. And the skeleton reminded me of a stamp that I have (without the fingers) using black ink - so I stamped some pawprints and "meows". Also I used black ink for journaling/letters.
