mom and dad

by pjwMay 3, 2004
These are my first "heritage" pages. These pics were taken just before they got married Jan. 22, 1946. I used the overlays on both, jolees sailor and oval frame and banner. Both tags were graciously made for me by Scrapperqueen/Trina from my wish list ~ I wished for one and she made two~and they were perfect for this layout! I also used Soft Spoken and the torn words are from D~a donation to the poor! I've left two blank spaces for journaling. I had my mom write down everything about when they got married (they eloped) for me. The words in the banner says Mrs. Ralph Sloan and below is their wedding date.

I'm with Gloria - I like that you were able to use some color and keep it looking vintage!

Very nice. I hope my first attempt at heritage ones turn out so well. I've been collecting things but haven't tried it. I like how it is one picture perpage with accessories that represent that person. neat idea

Good job, Patti. Are the words around the outer perimeter part of the paper, or, did you write those?

I love them. I like that you added some colors, but it still has an "old" look. Like the papers, too.
