SAINTS Project
by ScrappyMamaJan 6, 2004

At my daughter's Catholic school the 6th grade put on a "Saints Project" every year. Each child "becomes" that saint for the entire quarter. They do writing projects, social studies, everything around that saint. At the end of the quarter they build a "House" for the Saint, become the saint, and they are interviewed by the press, the other school children, local area priests, etc. It is a beautiful project. My daughter, Jami, was Saint Clare of Assisi. Very interesting woman.

TECHNIQUES: I used color blocking along with metals, vellum, embellishments, and printed labels on vellum. BAZILL cardstock... love that stuff... vellum tape... gotta have it! The wordings are from each child, a quote about what was special about their saint. I hope you enjoy it.
