I tried a chalkboard marker on the background for my journaling and it looked horrible (my only test strip was just blue and it looked fine...but on the polkadots it looked awful) so I had to take some liberties with the sketch to save myself A TON of work pulling everything apart to replace the blue polkadot paper in the background.
