- Contests & Challenges

This is for the Sept/Oct BOM challenge. I spent the majority of my life too terrified to fly. But when my stepson announced he and his girlfriend were going to bless us with our first grandchild (AND they lived in Oklahoma and we lived in Pennsylvania), I knew I had to conquer my fear. So I searched for cheap flights to do a "test" flight and found $99 flights from Baltimore to Cleveland. I figured if I freaked out on the flight there, I would only be out $198 and we could rent a car to drive home. So with a prescription from my doctor and a Bloody Mary at the airport, I boarded the plane. It went very well and I loved Cleveland. We got to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and did some shopping for our new grandbaby (who we found out was a boy while we were in Ohio). On the flight home I took no meds and no alcohol so I knew I could fly again in September to meet our new grandson, Jace!
