California Hikers
by YankeegirlSep 7, 2020
This is for the Sept. Double Page challenge. I chose to lift a layout by Brandy titled Fuzz Happens!. I loved the photo layout across the two pages and the fun paw prints, which gave me the idea to find a clipart of hiking shoes, which I fussy cut and popped up.
My California DD, the avid hiker, and two of her friends went on a camping adventure up in the Redding area, about 8 hours from Los Angeles. Trying not to think about the fire smoke they drove through, or the fact that they hiked in the forest where some hikers got airlifted from this weekend because they were cut off by fire! The redwoods are gorgeous. The hiking along the ocean was tough: rocky, cold and damp, and at one point the way was blocked by Sea Lions! After her two friends returned to LA, DD stayed in Redding to visit the huge dam there, do some more hiking, and walk across the pedestrian-only Sundial Bridge (only in California)!!
