Journal: Santa Elena Canyon Hike - This trail is actually rated moderate. It is a pretty hike winding to the Rio Grande. Then it climbs some concrete steps. The trail gradually slopes down to the river's edge inside the canyon & continues farther winding among large boulders until i ends abruptly where the canyon wall meets the river. This is one of the narrowest places in the 7-mile long canyon,
