All Because Two People Fell In Love
by blbabe1234Jul 8, 2023
*Country Music Challenge*
Photo is of me with my cousins on my mother's side. Half of us are blood related, the rest aren't. But we are still family. My Grandfather lost his first wife to cancer in '69. My Grannie divorced her first husband. They met at Church and by March 1971 they were married. My Grandfather had a 14 yr old daughter (my mother) and a 7 year old daughter (my Aunt Laura). His 2 sons (George & Michael) were already grown and out of the house (21 years old and 19 years old). My Grannie had 3 kiddos under age of 7: Suzanne age 6; Amy age 4 and Curtis was 2.
Fast forward to 1980 when I was born. The baby of the family (Katharine) was born in 1995, with 8 other grandchildren born in between that time period. Growing up, we never thought twice who was blood and who wasn't. All we knew is that we were family and we became a blended family...all because 2 people fell in love.
My grandparents are still alive and celebrated their 52nd anniversary earlier this year. Papa will be 92 later this month and my Grannie just turned 82.

On my mom’s side, there are 12 of us cousins, 10 of which born between 1985 and 1992. The two youngest are 1995 & 2002. So fun to be so close in age!! Thanks for playing along with my challenge!!
