Building a Monster Trap

I added the title and 9 sequins with Nuvo Drops in the centers. I made the ROAR piece by drawing the letters and coloring them. My youngest grandson loves making things. He took boxes, tape and markers and created this monster trap.

I love this. This reminds me of crafting with my DGS. He has an anxiety disorder (which he is working hard to learn coping strategies) and when he was younger it was so severe it left him non-verbal outside the home. When he was 5, I helped him make a worry monster out of kleenex box. We used the opening as a mouth, cut out monster teeth, used googly eyes, etc. So, whenever he had a worry he would "write it down" (make a picture) and feed it to the worry monster. It helped! Isn't it fun to share our love of crafting with our littles?

What a SWEET story Karyn! Yes it's awesome to share our love of crafting with our littles and other kids too! My BFF is raising her granddaughter and she loves to craft so I occasionally give her some scrappy things to play with. She's VERY good!!!
