- Contests & Challenges

I was so glad this challenge came, because I have been meaning to do this layout, but just have not gotten around to it.

The picture is from the day my only son (who is now 10 months old) was born. The fabric I used is the pocket from the "scrubs" shirt my husband wore during labor and delivery.

The journaling is on a tag that fits inside the fabric pocket and reads (in my own handwriting):

Spencer -

Your birth is the best thing that has ever happened to your father and I. He was so excited to witness the miracle of your birth and to be able to comfort me during labor and delivery. This pocket is from the "scrubs" shirt your father wore. The nurses made sure they stamped your tiny little footprints on it as a reminder of how small you once were. I will never forget your "birthday" as long as I live.

Love always,

mom

Products used:

paper - KI Memories (My Guy), Doodlebug (Seabreeze)

MM - decorative brads, ribbon words, eyelet letters, woven corners

Doodlebug Seabreeze teeny tags cardstock stickers

Doodlebug ABCs

ink

ribbon

I made the stencil myself.

Thanks for looking!!

Debra

TOTALLY GREAT!!!
Love the idea with the pocket from the scrubs! I still have a pair of scrubs from when Emma was born. Guess I will be taking the scissors to those soon!!
