It all began as a girl playing under the remant table while my mother dug through piles looking for the perfect print. I started hoarding fabric as an adult when I began making quilts. Imagine my joy when we moved to Japan. New and different fabrics to stash. Of all the fagric stores in Japan, I loved Swany's in Kamakura. These photos are from my last trip there before we moved back to the States. June 2004

Edited to add: I did a really bad job of posting it. The title is FABRIC SHOPPING IN JAPAN. The 'in Japan' part is in the ribbon slide. I cut it off a selvage of fabric that I bought that day that says, Made in Japan.

Wow...looks great.
Love all the elements you used.
Great job!!!
When I was at Harvard I belonged to a quilt group . . . it's the place I really got into quilting and i was suprised to learn about the popularity of quilting in Japan. That must have been such a wonderful experience!
