Aug 2007 - Sketch Challenge

Journaling:
Samantha, you are so cute in your new glasses. You have been telling me all school year that you needed glasses, but I didn’t think you did. I thought you just wanted them because a couple classmates had gotten them. You finally asked me to please bring you to the doctor to check your eyes. I decided to schedule an appointment for you, mainly so you would stop bugging me about it. Imagine how horrible I felt when the doctor told me you needed glasses, and not just for reading. You would have to wear your glasses all the time. I tried to get you to choose a different pair of frames, but you insisted on these blue ones. Blue is your favorite color, and you were having no part of the brown and wire frames I was picking out for you. I decided they were your glasses and you were the one who was going to wear them, so I let you go with the blue frames. I’m so glad I did. They look so cute on you and suit you well. They’re apart of who you are. You’re still as Beautiful as ever.
