This style of cooking is called Teppanyaki. It is my favourite kind of Japanese cuisine (I just had it on Friday). Love your layout. That is cool they let your son go behind the grill! What a cool idea! I would call this layout playful. In Japanese we would say kawaii desu ne! Although kawaii means cute, it also means pretty or has a nice appearance. (Juunen kan nihon ni sundeimashita no de, nihon no shukan wo osheitan desu.)
