Family Vacation-wall hanging

by ElsieBJun 19, 2006
This was my first attempt at an altered canvas wall hanging. It was fun! I had to laugh when I saw all the canvases for sale at the Expo this weekend for $6.99 and up. This one was purchases at the dollar store for a buck! It has some ugly fall apple thing underneath. :-) The picture is of my family at the Grand Canyon in April.

Materials:
Striped patterned paper by 7Gypsies
"Family" chipboard by Li'l Davis
Large brown photo corners & brown polkadot ribbon by Heidi Swapp

"Journey" rub-on by Scenic Route
"Certified Memory" circle rub-on by Creative Imaginations
Rub-on alphabet by Making Memories (Evolution font)

So many things I love about this--your use of paint to pull together the elements, that beautiful ribbon combined with the LD chipboard, the little details like the circle around the A. Beautiful!
