Hi. These are pictures of butterflies that I found on my Butterfly Bush just last month! For the DT Challenge, I used the TECHNIQUE....I included my printing on the right hand side of the layout! Also, I made the design on the left hand side of the layout to incorporate my "ethnicity" for Art Teacher's challenge. This is a typical pattern that one would find on a Lithuanian folk costume.

Patterned Paper: Deja Views - The Sarah Ann Collection (SAC-505) Red Plaid
Patterned Paper: Paper Pizazz - Hot Off the Press - HOTP-20070 - Purple Sponged
Solid cardstock: Die Cuts With a View - Red #3 (Textured)
Vellum: Crafts Etc. (translucent clear)
Chalk: Stampin' Up! - Black
Stickers: Colorbok - "19349" Flower Fairies Nectar

I didn't want to mount the clear stickers on cardstock first...as I wanted them to "appear magical" on the layout. I printed the pictures on Matte Photo Paper for a sharper image...then double matted them. I also chalked the edges of the textured red cardstock. On the left hand side I added a design that I made on the computer (on vellum) and then attached a poem I found on the internet that was entitled, "Butterfly Wishes" that I printed from the computer. On the right side I added my own printing with 3 butterfly "sayings / quotes" and one written journaling block: " We planted this Butterfly Bush about 7 years ago in order to attract them. It took a handful of years before we actually saw any of them on it. On this day I counted up to 6 butterflies on it at the same time. [DD] told me that one even landed on my head when I was taking pictures of them today. ~ August 2005 ~"
