<P><FONT face=arial>First layout:</FONT></P><P class=MsoNormal>Gridlocked</P><P class=MsoNormal>Ready – Set – Stop</P><P class=MsoNormal>&nbsp;</P><P class=MsoNormal>Journaling:</P><P class=MsoNormal>For the first 45 minutes every time Nicole and Dana managed to go straight and build up some speed they would bump us or grab hold of our canoe when they came alongside, to try to gain the advantage.&nbsp; We finally learned to let them go ahead of us, which worked out for John who likes to take a lot of breaks anyway, bless his heart.&nbsp; Of course, later in the day we had to actually ask the dynamic duo to bump us after our canoe became lodged firmly on a log in the middle of the river.&nbsp; Who puts a log in the middle of the river anyway?!&nbsp; There we were, stuck on this log, John paddling furiously and me laughing hysterically at his efforts because there is no way we are moving just by paddling water.
