Stop to smell the flowers

by scrapbookladyFeb 3, 2009
I actually wrote this journaling back in 2002 on a paper scrapbook page and recopied it here for my digital remake.
Journaling reads: One of the things Riley has taught me is to stop and smell the flowers in life. She takes time to appreciate the many wonderful joys in the world around us. On Easter Sunday, she looked so precious in her new “fancy dress” that Grandma Lynda had bought for her. We went to visit Aunt Amanda for an Easter Egg hunt and she was so excited to show off her new dress and her beautifully curled hair. We were surprised that Aunt Amanda had planted the perfect flowers to match Riley’s dress. We couldn’t have planned it better, and I decided to follow Riley’s wisdom and take the time to appreciate my own little blossoming young daughter!
