Grimes County Courthouse Northwest Face (back of Courthouse). I always thought this was a pretty courthouse when I chose to take the slow way north to the ranch along FM39. It is also the evacuation route for a hurricane I gave Mom so she wouldn't get stuck on I-45 in a Rita type evacuation as she will also have her horse with her. I was somewhat disappointed with being close up to the courthouse. Remodeled in 1964 it is obvious it needs renovation again. I chose to scrap this courthouse using Bo Bunny Somewhere In Time as Anderson, TX, has a population of 280 and the old Main Street has withered away! Future layouts of the old part of town will show it's downfall. In rural counties there is a large amount of decay and it is so sad.
