It's a Texas Thang!

by killarney_roseSep 16, 2013
I had to laugh looking at the vehicles lined up at the ranch Easter of 2009! Such a cliche for Texans....farm, PU's and the hunting dog! Belle patiently waiting for someone to head out to check cattle so she can go along hunting upland game birds which don't exist on our ranch except for the occasional visitor. She is an AWESOME dog to hunt behind. So I took the photo! LOL.....we are a truck family! We still have three full size pickups and a Toyota Tacoma. A one ton diesel flat bed as the ranch truck. A 3/4 diesel backup as the newer diesel engines are all CRAP! Then Larry's 2012 GMC 1/2 ton to use when visiting customers.

Cost of fuel has made Texans move to more fuel efficient cars. There was certainly a time though that there were more PUs in Houston then cars. I still would rather be in a PU then a car. I only have a car (xTerra) because of my scrapping.

My entry for the Pet Challenge. Sher, I loved the sketch!

Pretty dogs! Or dog? Are those pics of the same dog? She looks so different from the front than the back! Love the button centered flowers and that pretty block at the bottom. :)

Oh Kim....LOVE this layout. The title, the pics, the journaling. The colors are awesome. And yes, if you showed up at my grandparents farm, you wouldn't see an itty bitty car in sight! LOL
