Photo Challenge June 28
by ScrapClassJun 28, 2005

The first photo is a photo of our all-american dream - our first home. Built in 1920, this old house is full of charm and never-ending jobs to do! But I love every minute I spend fixing it up. From the squeaky screen door, to the lilac tree and picket fence, owning our own home is just one of the freedoms we are greatful for.

The second photo was taken on Memorial Day last year just before Joe marched in the yearly parade through town. I am so proud of him for sacrificing so much of his free time to be a Volunteer Fireman. He gives a huge percentage of his time, sweat and money - leaving when the alarms go off no matter what time of night or day, supporting the Firehouse simply because he can, and asking nothing in return. That's the spirit of an American I admire the most.
