Most Saturdays, Daddy runs errands for us. He gets groceries, stops at Target, Home Depot, the auto parts store. Whatever needs to be picked up, he takes care of it. On those Saturdays, he takes Bella with him. It gives him some time alone with her and gives you some time to hang out with just me.
As they got ready to leave this particular Saturday, you seemed to sense that you were getting left behind. Again. You crawled right up to the gate and tried to get it open. In your totally adorable alligator pajamas, you sat there for a bit, waiting to see what would happen, but they were gone.
Soon after, you were distracted by things more important in the mind of a one year old, and abandoned your vigil at the gate.
Don’t worry, baby girl. Your Saturdays will come. All too soon, I’m sure.
