The frame (lighter blue) and background (darker blue) are sized for a 4x6 card but could also be used to mat/frame a photo. I don't usually make 4x6 cards but decided to buy this anyway because of all the extra pieces that will be very versatile for card-making. The little alphabet and numbers are 3/8-inch tall. I cut the alphas on a scrap of black paper (cut well) and backed it with a piece of a sticky-dot adhesive sheet to make it easier to keep track of the little pieces. Then there are the balloons (3/4 inch tall), little flowers, bows and butterflies (the large one is 1 inch by 1-1/4) -- all nicely sized for card embellishing. The wavy string banner also could be used as string on the balloons, and the banners can be used separately too. This is one of the more expensive die sets I have purchased but I think it is very versatile and I will get a lot of use of from the many pieces included! Nice quality -- cardstock is not flimsy, lovely glittering that does not shed. Some pieces were slightly stuck together but came apart easily without damage. You're supposed to get two of each image but I got three of some, probably due to being stuck together. This is a new brand to me and I'm glad I gave it a try -- very pretty and an excellent value! |

You receive A LOT of sequins and a good variety. However, I did not receive the mix as shown -- no large silvery stars (a few small ones), cupped stars or small bronze pieces. I received mostly matte gold cupped sequins, bronze cupped sequins, flat gold stars, and small flat gold circles. Still, an excellent value. |
This pen is very handy, glue is strong. I use this frequently and like to have a spare on hand. |

The pink and yellow are very vibrant, my fave pieces, and a lot of these will be very useful for cards. wimom on 2010-07-31 I don't do much girly scrapping, so I am always on the lookout for products that will work on masculine pages. The corrugated texture of these alphas, plus the kraft color, make them perfect for pages with a little rougher/tougher look. And some ink on the corrugated ridges can give them a dirty or beat-up look. Of course, they will work on other types of pages, too, but I really like the possibilities for masculine pages. These also come in white and a green, and a saw a couple of more colors coming in the CHA sneak peaks. I bought them in kraft, but I think the white would be very versatile because you could ink the ridges in whatever color worked for a particular layout. Love these! |
