September means back to school and back to scrapping! Hustle those kiddos out the door and head for your desk, too! Why not learn something new yourself?  Maybe you'd like to learn how to cluster, work with found objects, or try a digi template.  All of these are ideas you'll find in this month's set of inspirational new challenges from the ACOT Creative Team.  Have fun with them!

Remember:

- only one LO per challenge will enter you into the points drawing

LOs cannot be entered into more than one challenge category

- *please* only enter LOs that meet the specific challenge instructions

Ad Inspiration Challenge - By MamaK321 (Kristianne)

Paper or Digital Scrapbooking

All About Me Challenge - By millmomma (Brittney)

Paper or Digi

September is here and we have a new AAM challenge! What are your dream wheels? Just because we are scrapbookers, doesn't mean we don't dream about riding around in style to get those wonderful supplies! I for one have had a huge crush on the Aston Martin Vanquish my whole life and still hope to ride in one some day!

Altered Object Challenge - By JulesinParadise (Jules)

Paper or Hybrid Scrapbooking

This month I challenge you to use those paper clips you have all over the house. Some are plain and some are pretty... use whatever you have and whatever size to create an embellishment for a card, a layout or an altered object.

Card Challenge - By bluejeans7 (Angela)

Paper or Digital Scrapbooking

Create a birthday card using this PageMaps sketch. Your card has to have at least one flower on it.

Color Challenge - by Art_Teacher (Laura)

Paper or Digital Scrapbooking

When I think of Fall, I think of all the beautiful oranges, yellows, reds, and browns of the trees as they change. So, this month's color challenge is to use warm colors. You may use neutrals, too, but the layout should be primarily warm colors (and no cool colors allowed!) ;)

Countdown Challenge - By sarahwhithers (Jennifer)

Paper or Digital Scrapbooking

For this challenge you will create a layout using a countdown method of items. I will list five different kinds of things (eg. elements, papers, photos) for you to use in your layout. Every month there will be five new items for you to use. And for this month, since September is the month for back to school, as well as for the start of the fall season, I want to see you use some leaves on your page (in honor of fall of course) and also some journaling about something you've learned (in honor of school!).

5 - Leaves or branches
4 - Buttons
3 - Lines of journaling including something you've learned
2 - Patterned Papers
1 - Frame

You are welcome to use more than these items (eg. 2 frames instead of 1 is fine) just as long as you meet the required list and numbers asked for each. An example is seen below.

Fashion Findings Challenge - By happayscrappay (Rachel)

Paper or Digi

September is back to school in Varsity Blues. Varsity Blues never goes out of fashion; its visited over and over every year as kids go back to school. The main style elements of varsity blues are - 1. the three color palettes (for example: red, gold, black or navy, gold, white or current trends of lemon yellow, aqua, and peach), 2. plaids or stripes paired with solid colors, 3. blocky letters double matted, and 4. two color stripes along edges (like at sleeves and collars). Choose at least one of these Varsity Blues inspiration themes for your September Fashion Findings page and celebrate going back to school in style.

Heritage Challenge - By JanetM (Janet)

Paper AND Digital Scrapbooking

Capture and scrap a picture that is dear to you this month - journal of course if you want to this time I just wanted to get the photo scrapped. Every picture doesn't have a great story behind it- even though journaling is one of my favorite things sometimes I just enjoy scrapping one of my favorite photos.

Hybrid Challenge - By Smiley-Scrap8 (Ronny)

Paper AND Digital Scrapbooking

September Hybrid Challenge: Use a Digital Jounaling Card on a traditional paper page. I started my page as a make'n'take at the scrap store. With just a title, one embellishment and some stitching it really needed something more. So I added a journaling card with my journaling already typed on it and some tape elements both designed by Isabel Mendez to my page. They worked perfectly with the look I wanted and with just a few more additions I was done. The best part about using Digital Journaling Cards is that you can type your journaling before you print so everything is neat and fast.

Journaling Challenge - By Jenn Kellams (Jenn)

Paper or Digital Scrapbooking

Journal about something you have always wanted to do or something you finally got to do after wanting to for a while.

Manufacturer Challenge - By 4peasinourpod (Pam)

Paper Scrapbooking

October Afternoon!

Use any line of October Afternoon on a layout or project :)

Music Challenge - By Mommybruno (Cassie)

Paper or Digital Scrapbooking

September Music Challenge: Ga-Ga for Gaga! This month's Music Challenge is to be inspired by Lady Gaga. Her music, her look, whatever it is about her that makes you want to sit down and scrap. For me, it was the song Telephone, which I listen to incessantly. It made me think about how cell phones have changed accessibility - when I was a kid, if you didn't catch someone at home or work, you had to wait until they were there. Now, I expect to be able to reach anyone, anywhere, anytime. So how will Lady Gaga inspire you?

One Word Challenge - By Mommybruno (Cassie)

Paper or Digital Scrapbooking

September One Word Challenge: Bust out your anatomy books! For this month's One Word Challenge, I'd like your word to be a body part. Got lots to choose from - toes, legs, lips, random internal organs. LOL! I chose to target the armpit, which has taken center stage at my house lately based on stinkiness. Do you know a body part that needs to have its story told? Now's the time to tell it!

Photography Challenge - By nun69 (Angie)

Photography

So September usually means back to school. So share with us your back to school photos and if you don't have any kids going back to school, share some of the beautiful fall weather in your area. :)

{my kids haven't started yet, but here is Ben's picture from the 1st day of school last year}

Scraplift the GCT Challenge - By averys_mom and Carrie123 and megamay (Mandi and Carrie and Meg)

Paper or Digital Scrapbooking

Sketch Challenge - By Kimandasmo (Cindy), 4peasinourpod (Pam), and CT

Paper or Digital Scrapbooking

This month I chose a sketch that I felt was very eye catching and had lots of potential. Turn it, flip it, use any combination of pictures. I cant wait to see how you are inspired by this sketch.

and here is my interpretation:

Supply List Challenge - By SarahA (Sarah)

Paper or Digital Scrapbooking

This month, I'd like to see you use 4 or more embellishments to make an embellishment grouping or cluster on your layout. I love this fun way to add some interest to a focal point on your pages!

Theme Challenge - By ChrissyTina (Chrissy)

Paper or Digital Scrapbooking

This month's is all about SASS! Let's see sassiness and attitude in your photos AND in your pages! Add some pizzazz and make your pages and photos just scream, "DAY-YUUM!" Have fun and go buck wild!

My example is Julia posing with her sister's hat.

Trends & Techniques Challenge - By Megamay (Meg)

Paper Scrapbooking

This month I want you to look at the Moxie Fab Trends by the Dozen post, which you can find here: http://www.papercraftsconnection.com/blog/2011/08/cha-summer-trends-by-the-dozen/, and work with either: vintage, retro family, country western, cameos, or french influences.

In my example I worked with vintage/retro.
