Basic Grey does it again…

When I asked for Pyrus by Basic Grey I knew it would be perfect for my album of our visit to the Mediterranean this past September.  The colors are so rich and luscious, subtle yet vibrant.  Perfect to create lovely backdrops for some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen.  Little did I know how wonderful it would also be for our annual mini album for Thanksgiving.   And, thanks to Basic Grey, I am ready for Thanksgiving way ahead of time.

They say that every journey begins with a single step and so does our journey to the Med.  Actually, several steps, car and taxi rides, and planes.  We left Tampa heading to Philly where we caught a plane for Madrid, Spain and on to Barcelona.  Because i am married to Mr. Punctuality, we had two hours to kill in Tampa before we could even get on the plane.  So, I began our album where we began our journey…over a beer at the airport.

We traveled with my oldest friend, Jo, and her husband, Bill.  Jo and I have known each other for 49 years so when she said she'd take charge of hotel reservations in Barcelona both the day before our cruise and the day after, I trusted her explicitly.  And she came through more than we could imagine.  She booked us into a small but lovely hotel right on La Rambla, the main street.  And this was our view from our balcony into the heart of Barcelona.  I loved how the papers, the chipboard title and the flowers helped highlight the photo I took.  I printed this on to canvas paper as glossy and even matte did not look rich enough to me.

What a way to start my album!  Lovely colors, pretty embellishments and the perfect pick of stickers and chipboard alphas. And, because I selected the entire package of Pyrus, I have tons left for many many more layouts.

Every Thanksgiving, I take a picture of each of the members of our immediate family and hand them a tag.  I ask that they write down a couple of things for which each is thankful.  Last year, I finished the mini album the day before everyone came to cook and eat.  This year, thanks to Basic Grey and Bo Bunny, I am way ahead of the game.  This album practically designed itself.  Now all I have to do is pass out the color coordinated tags, take the pics and ta da…I am Grateful for Basic Grey's Pyrus (among other things)!

I have always been a huge fan of Basic Grey and this just confirmed my belief that they make versatile papers that add that special touch to a layout!
