Cat Nap Scrapbook Layout – Fall Cherry Box

Hey all,

Nicole here with you today to share my latest creation using the Fall Cherry Box.  The Fall Cherry Box is just packed with Tim Holtz products this time around so it was easy to get a layout with so many of his products done.  I am documenting my sleepy kitty, Malcolm.

First, I used the Distress Spritz that I got in the kit on the Tim Holtz kraftstock.  After drying, I cut them out using the Sizzix Fall Foliage Die Cuts to make lots of little leaves. I then used the Sizzix Shaping Kit to make the leaves extra-dimensional.

I used the kraftstock again and ran it through the die machine with the Sizzix 3D Texture Fades in Woodgrain to make a wood grain pattern.  I then took some sandpaper and sanded the black side down to show some more of the texture.

For my background, I used a cream-colored cardstock from my stash and added some interest by stenciling on some Speckled Egg Distress Oxide through the Tim Holtz Cutout Shapes 1 stencil.  This framed where my photos would go.  I layered up my photos on the rubbed wood grain kraftstock and then added my leaves around them.

To make my title I used the Sizzix Tim Holtz Alphanumeric Stretch Lower and Numbers Dies to read “lazy fall naps” across the middle of the page.  I added a heart clip and lace from my stash to one of my photos and finished off my layout with the Tim Holtz Thought Label Stickers, gold sequins, and adhesive pearls.
