My stepdaughter and her DH drove us straight through on Thursday (May 7th). It took a little over 12 hours and we stayed in a hotel that night. Friday morning we daughter, granddaughter and her boyfriend met the movers here. I came over but left DH at the hotel. Later my SIL came over and I went to get Ed/Butch. Stacie and Emma set up the kitchen and I already can find everything. They are better at organizing than I am.
The second bedroom which will eventually be my ScrapRoom is full of boxes and I may get that done by next NSD,
That’s the good news, the bad news is that DH has been in the hospital since this past Wednesday, His son and wife drove 4 1/2 hours and helped his set up some stuff. No sooner did they leave when DH fell. I called them and they came back and got him into bed. A few hours, DH wanted to get up to use the bathroom and fell again. I am not strong enough to lift him so I called 911. They got him up into his transport chair and he wasn’t responding to anyone. They did all the tests for a stroke but he finally came around. He admitted he needed to go to the hospital. So they called an ambulance and off he went. Luckily the hospital is 4 minutes from our apartment.
Anyway, he is still in the hospital but he may be released tomorrow. I am exhausted and very scared. Please send some prayers or good thoughts our way.
Oh another good thing, our house in PA sold for $10,000 over asking price and we make settlement on June 3rd.
I miss all you guys and hope to be around more often,

First, good to know you made it safely, Chris. I've been wondering how everything was going for you and Ed. Secondly, I'm so sorry to hear that Ed is in the hospital after falling twice. Sending good thoughts and lots of prayers your way. Nice to hear you sold the house for more than asking! Take care and stop in when you can!emmapaige wrote: ↑Sat May 16, 2026 4:44 pmMy stepdaughter and her DH drove us straight through on Thursday (May 7th). Chris, you and Ed have been in my thoughts and prayers too. I'm sorry that Ed has been in the hospital but glad there aren't any broken bones or anything serious as a result of the falls. Good to know you're there in Georgia and that you have a lot of support there. We miss you too but of course we understand. Let us know if you need anything!!! And please do take good care of yourself too. {{{HUGS}}}

So good to hear from you. Glad you got moved to Georgia. I actually was thinking about you today and wondering how you were. Sorry to hear about Ed in the hospital. Hoping he gets to come home soon. Drop in when you can. Missing you.

So sorry to hear about your husband being in the hospital, hope he progresses and comes home soon. That's hard enough to deal with but with moving at the same time is very tough. Prayers coming your way, and hope you take care of yourself also.
Chris I have been thinking of you and am so sorry to hear that Ed has had some falls and is now in the hospital. Glad you are settling in and that you have support close by. I miss seeing you here and hope that things settle down for you and that Ed will be home from the hospital soon. Prayers for you both and sending you many ((hugs)).

Sending positive vibes and prayers for you and your DH. Moving is always exhausting. I'm happy to hear you had helpers. Take care of you.
