I'm starting the new year already behind!  Busy back at school and with my school musical, but I wanted to post this challenge for you.

I'm not a big New Year's Eve partier, but I love some sparkle, so this mood board references that.  I also love the contrast between the grey and metallic gold.  For this challenge, use the color scheme of grey and metallic gold, along with 3 additional inspirations from the mood board.  You may use other neutrals with the mood board colors, but no other colors on your papers/embellishments.  Look at it as an opportunity to make your color photos really stand out!  

You have until midnight, February 8th to upload your layout to the gallery spot I've provided.  Of course, come back and share here, too.  Let us know what your 3 inspirations are!  Must be a new layout and can be combined with one other challenge that allows combining.

Here is mine. The 16 at the bottom is also metallic gold, I don't know why it showed up black when I took a picture.
My inspiration was the chandelier I used a flower that looks like crystals , 2nd was the girls dress reminded me of a tutu which is usually made of tulle, so one of my flowers is made of tulle. My 3rd inspiration was gems on the crown so my third flower has gems in it.

This took a lot of thought and searching through all my papers! But I had the perfect die and loved how the colors look together! I used the chandelier (die) for inspiration along with the little girl in a dress, the flower, and the zig zag like paper that looked like the pattern on the bottom left photo. I also searched for the right photos, this is my niece who is 12 now. I have to find out what year this pic was from. Combined with the My Mood challenge.

Here is my take on the mood board:



I used the flower, the scattered heart paper as the confetti and the washi tape that almost matched the pattern on the picture in the bottom left corner.

I was inspired by the round gold center of the flower, the crystals in the chandelier, and the fancy monogram in the scepter for the title.

Fantastic Mood board.  Love the combo...my challenge was finding gold in my craft room.  I noticed I'm partial to silver.  So it was fun to dig around and come up with items for this layout.

The base is grey Jillibean Soup (so I'm combing this layout with Manufacturer with a twist).  The 3 items that inspired me were 1. Grey & Gold lettering, so I used Dear Lizzy Thickers for the title 2. Shower title zigzag using gold and grey washi and 3. Gold confetti in the gold stars and diamonds from the chandelier are my diamond jewels.


Thank you for the cool challenge that really got me out of my comfort zone!

as soon as I saw this challenge, I thought of this Basic Grey paper.   It reminds me of the chandelier.   The dress was inspired by the lacy grey uniform in the photos, and the gold sequins was inspired by the confetti.

This was a fun one and 2 colors I probably would have based a whole page around so I came up with something unique for me. I was also able to use up this ballerina paper that's been in my stash for 20 years!

I was inspired by crystals, flowers and lace on the mood board, not to mention pretty sparkly dress. I knew I had to use these photos!

My 3 inspirations were the background paper which mimics the chandelier, the gold Pinkfresh metallic gold pearls from the confetti photo, and the 2023 numbers cut from a paper that looks like the mosaic effect of the flower. I had the little city couple cutout set aside for documenting New Year's Eve so the inspiration was perfect!

I saw this board and I knew what I wanted to do!  From 1996…my wedding photos.  Inspired by the little girl in the beautiful dress (most little girls dream of being a princess!  I was for a day!), the flower, and the lace.  I felt like royalty, so the crown thingy fits there too.  I must give credit however, my husband frequently treat me like a Princess!
