[The Scrap Attack]

Hi scrappers! This marks month two of me hosting a scrapbooking challenge. We had over a hundred entries last month which is absolutely insane! Thanks for playing along with me!



This month's challenge is all about the color red which is also a T.S. album and hit single.  

Losing him was blue, like I'd never known
Missing him was dark gray, all alone
Forgetting him was like trying to know
Somebody you never met
But loving him was red 

This month's challenge is to use the color red in your project. Since blue and gray are also featured in the lyrics, those colors can be used as well but red should be your primary color. Any shade of red, blue and gray are fine. Black, white and metallics are ok too, but again, the majority of your project should be red.

This can be combined with one monthly challenge that allows combining. 

Must be a new creation. No back linking old projects. Scrapbook layouts, cards, arts journal pages etc. welcome!

I hope that distressed red all mucked up with grey counts! Here's mine:


O Canada

The background paper is a Basic Grey "distressed style" red. I rarely use mixed media because it never looks the way I want it to look - but this time it did; I wanted a hazy, mucky final result and I kept going back and re-inking portions til it was right! I stamped it with grey acrylic paint which I heated up til it bubbled and dried, and then went over it with black ink.

Entry #2 (who knew I liked red so much?!) I added a little bit of glitter as a nod to January’s challenge. It should be noted that the letters look orange but the paper is actually metallic foiled red (same one used in January’s challenge). It’s really much more subtle in real life!
