I am so excited for this month's Washi Challenge. How many of you like using tags on your page but can't always find one that goes with your page? I was never a huge fan of tags for this very reason. I really didn't have a lot in my stash because I didn't want to stock up on something I didn't think I'd use. Well someone asked me once if I had ever used Washi on my tags. Well of course my ears perked up when the word Washi was spoken. The suggestion was to take a plain white tag (Washi works better on white) and then just add my Washi to it however I wanted. This idea had me so excited I couldn't wait to try it.
There's so many different ways to use Washi on tags. It's just up to you and what you want to do. You can cover the entire tag so it matches your page, you can use some Washi just to have a border on your tag and then use your tag for a journaling spot. Sometimes I've even done both. I've covered my entire tag with Washi and then did my journaling on another piece of paper and then attached that to my tag allowing some of the Washi to show. The ideas are endless.
With that said, I think you've guessed where I'm going with this. What I thought we could do this month is take a tag and use Washi on it, but I don't want you to stop there. I want to take it just a couple steps farther (you know to really get you to use that Washi). What I would like to see you do is take a tag and use your Washi on it anyway you like. Then (here comes the "challenge" part) use that tag on your page along with using some of that same Washi on your page as well. So not only are you using Washi on your tag, but you will take that same Washi and use it on your page to tie your tag and page together. So let's get creative as I can't wait to see what you all come up with.
Below are a couple of tags I created this past month that I thought I could use as an example:
This example I only used a little bit of Washi on my tag, and then I took that same Washi and separated my photos on my second page. I then used my tag on the first page as a journaling spot.

In this example, I covered my entire tag with my Washi and then made a journaling spot and attached it to my tag allowing some of the Washi on the tag to show. I then used the same Washi and put little pieces on each photo to make it looked "taped".

My challenge to you is ~ put Washi on a tag (remember white works better) and then use that tag on our page. You must also include that same Washi on your page to tie everything together.
Here's the Rules:
- Use Washi on your tag (as little or as much as you would like)
- Use the tag you made on your page and include that same Washi on your page
- Cards & Layouts - traditional, digital or hybrid are fine.
- You may do this challenge up to 3 times.
- I'm not a fan of combining, as I want you to use your Washi. Let's let the Washi shine!!!

- I will randomly select 1 person for an ACOT gift card from myself.
- Please have fun!!!
