Scrap a Day, May 24th
Hey Cherries. What a washout of a weekend. Pouring rain continues along with temps in the 50s. This is the first day in a week that I have no appointments and no where that I have to be. Love it. Just going to stay in and maybe scrap, or work on a house project, or maybe just be lazy and chill and catch up on some of my shows.

Have a great day Cherries.

Same here, Barb.  It rained so hard early this morning I thought it was going to shatter the windows.  Clearing a bit now, but another good day to stay indoors and chill.  I finished the tribute to ACOT challenge last night and am working on some DT projects for June today.  Have a chill day Cherries!

Wow we had really loud thunder and lightning last night. Off and on rain as well. I live in a quiet valley in California lol this stuff amazes me. My daughter said last night wasn’t anything big! Wow lol!

I have no idea what we’re doing today. Been teaching my granddaughter a bit about color combos and painting and really enjoying that. Turning her into a mini glitter gal too. Wish I could take her home with me.

Have a great day.

Re: Scrap a Day, May 24th
Another decent day for us, but lots of rain expected for this next week. I am ok with that as we really need it. They say we are headed to 80 degrees today.  The flowers all got planted yesterday with help.  And I sprayed the weeds. Also put rabbit deterrent around those tender plants.  So far, so good.  I have been out and watered this morning.  Also washed down the front of the house.  Some bird decided to make a big poopy mess on our garage door.  And I also planted some grass seed.  Busy weekend.  Seattle DD spent some time with the graduating grandson.  Have laundry going.  Nice breeze blowing and I hung out what does not go in the dryer.  Will be taking DD back to the airport later this afternoon to fly back home.

Hello Cherries! 🍒

Yesterday did NOT goas any of us planned. Kitchen floor got started but not finished. I did get a layout about 75% finished. Yay!

We are in the middle of a game today. We’re pretty protected here but still getting strong winds and a lot of rain. So it’s a good day to stay inside.

Hoping the floor can get finished today. We will see… Definitely going to finish that layout and start another one,

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Re: Scrap a Day, May 24th
Today has been a bittersweet day because I'm dealing with the aftermath of NSD. I've been packing up all my paper crafting supplies to return them to my storage unit. I don't really want to part with them yet -- but it can't be helped. :(

I try really hard to use up scraps promptly after creating them, but good grief, I started NSD with a lot of scraps and ended with lots more piles of them.

For the past few days, I've been trying to collage bunches of leftover scraps onto background papers that will hopefully soon become literal Scrap Books (cinched with the Mini Cinch, if I can figure out how to use it. So far so good but I haven't got to the part where I add the wire yet. )

A couple of days ago, I got out my sewing machine and stitched bunches of random leftover bits of scrap paper together to make clusters. That took care of some but not enough of the scraps.

I'm now out of time for dealing with scraps, so most of them are just getting tossed in boxes to deal with later. Ugh. I likely won't see them again until next NSD.

I feel your pain! As an art teacher, I just can't throw away usable things...and just about everything is usable!  lol  I sort my scraps by color into gallon ziploc bags, and I try to only use scraps to make cards, journal spots, etc.  I throw away anything smaller than 2 x 2, but still!

Our weekend has been the same, Barb.  Not very "unofficial start of summer-like."

re "I just can't throw away usable things...and just about everything is usable!" I'm 100% with you on that!

I can't even toss those small paper scraps any more, because those little scraps can be upcycled:
