Hey Cherries. We have had pouring rain since late last night and it is supposed to continue on all day today and through the night. Needless to say I won't have to water my flowers at all today. I have no plans other than laundry and expecting a grocery delivery later today. I got my graphic design challenge almost ready to go yesterday so will get that up today too.
Have a grat day Cherries.

Rain here today too. Despite the hot weather, we had a really fun weekend. Fox was broadcasting from independence hall on Saturday, it’s 2 blocks from our house so we could go back and forth. Benjamin got one of the broadcasters, former soccer star Clint Dempsey to sign an old jersey and the 3 of us ended up on tv during the all star team announcement. Not that anyone we know watches that, but we set a recording and found ourselves when we got home. We did get to watch fireworks from our roof Saturday with only bits of rain. Anyway, even some things got cancelled by weather, it was fun to be in the middle of it all during the 250th and we still did a lot of things.
Benjamin left this morning for a few days and I’m doing a little scrapping and playing bridge this afternoon. my plants are probably happy with all this rain.

Happy Monday. Up and out early for PT. Actually walked Target yesterday for 45 minutes and will attempt to drive around the block tomorrow. Little by little. Still plugging away at the negative scanning but may try and get the MMC’s done today of I can keep my energy. Have a great day everyone.

No big plans here, but glad our heatwave broke a little. High today is only in the mid-80's, so that's great!
Getting ready for our trip to Washington D.C. on Thursday. My national civic sorority's convention is there this year, and I have a cousin who lives there, so we will stay with them for 3 days and then move to the convention hotel. Need to finish up my laundry and start packing!

Good morning cherries. Never scrapped yesterday but did spend a couple of hours planning DAR layouts for our June 2026 events. Printed photos for 3 double page layouts and 1 single. I do have another 2 pager to do, but one of the ladies still needs to get me the program and other goodies. I also started pulling out my patriotic-related collections, red/white/blue washi tapes/ribbons/bling/other embellies. Including metallic and neutrals. Of course I can use other stuff, but with most of our events geared towards patriotism/veterans, it's easy to do red/white/blue. I made a comment to DH that I didn't have any patriotic-related stamps or dies. And he's like, "Well, I guess you'll have to place an ACOT order then." Oh darn! Guess I'll have to do that
I already have SS "Land of the Free" collection in my cart already. Caught my eye the moment it showed up in the store!
Already unloaded the dishwasher and been working off/on this morning. Paid a couple of bills, renewed my vehicle registration online and ran to HEB for a few items. Then from there, went to the vet to drop off a case of PUPPY food. I have my girls' food on PetCo Repeat Delivery. Order arrived on Friday and I saw that oen of the cases of food was PUPPY. I contacted PetCo about getting a replacement case (The girls really love their BEEF) as well as the best way to return the case of food. Either take it to my local PetCo or I can ship it to them. Nope. Keep it. I can even donate it. So I contacted my friend who works at our vet's office (known her since Kindergarten and she was the lady who rescued our sweet and beautiful Penny Lane). She says they do take food donations as they work with our local rescue groups. AND the vet's office is across the street from HEB so win-win-win.
Came back home to start working again. Hoping for a quiet day.

Here are some things you might "need" for your scrapping:

Good Morning Cherries! I had a good weekend and even did some scrappingl Yesterday I went "down the rabbit hole" searching through old photos on my computer. I ended up ordering 100+ prints and will pick them up this afternoon. That should keep me scrapping for quite a while. LOL!
Happy Scrapping!

Pretty decent here in the west this morning. It was an amazing 49 degrees when I got up this morning. I got out to walk and then puttering around doing a few things. watering the lawn and garden. Spraying weeds. Washing sheets and towels. So keeping busy. Need to upload a couple of layouts I finished.
Some sad news over the weekend. My son-in-law's mum passed away early Saturday morning, making the holiday a little somber. But they came over for the afternoon and dinner. Good to be around family. And he and Harlee drove out to camp yesterday to see Nic and make sure he was ok.
No other real plans for today, so I imagine I will be scrapping. A little cooler for here today heading into the 70's. Storms predicted for later. And then really heating up later this week. The rain in the east must be what we got last weekend. 3 inches for us.
Happy Monday, all!
