Hey Cherries. My Twinkie continues to be amazing. Eats, drinks, still loves getting treats. For a dog who ran after her tennis ball like a greyhound, who each and every day would get so excited when someone would throw it for her, it is so heartbreaking to see her not even be able to get up and get a drink of water on her own. But we bring everything to her, her food, her water, her treats, doggie ice cream, even a pup pop, and she eats them all. We constantly are with her and watching for "signs", but so far my girl is hanging in there and still with us. For that I am grateful.
Have a great day Cherries.
The love and care that you are giving to Twinkie is above and beyond...she is well loved and so very fortunate to have such wonderful caretakers. Hugs for all of you.pawprints wrote: ↑Sat Jul 25, 2026 9:30 amHey Cherries. My Twinkie continues to be amazing. Eats, drinks, still loves getting treats. Good morning Cherries! Gorgeous day here again in SE PA. Perfect temps and still no humidity. Relaxing today after spending the day at CKC Lancaster with Louise and a couple of my Pocono friends. It was crowded with long lines at times, but seems to be shrinking every year. Only a couple of large mfgs. there any more....Echo Park, Paper Loft, Quick Quotes. All of the other booths were retailers selling their wares. Paper Wizard had a plethora of mfg. product that they were selling and pretty much the longest lines! I did see Want2Scrap in a small area which surprised me because I had heard they were going out of business. No Queen & Co. this year either. I sure hope things pick up again soon.
We are having our driveway sealed today so DH put our cars out in the street. Not a fan, but no choice unless we parked in the yard but the curb is so high, it would difficult to do and don't want to risk any damage to the cars. So we are chillin' waiting for our turn in the neighborhood. Seems there are a few others since the HOA did a survey among the owners that gives a small discount for a group.
I will be doing some crafting today!

Pretty day here, too, but starting to get hotter. DH and I will go out for dinner tonight, as it is Restaurant Week in Columbus. We have reservations at the Hofbrauhaus for some good, German food.

Regular summer day here. We’re on auto play until end of this coming week. Light breezes, blue skies and mid 90’s. But weather guys are seeing big heat up starting Friday and lasting 5-6 days! 100-105. Hope they’re wrong but it is summer.
Neighbors cat has settled in nicely. I feed him, scratch his head, and there’s always fresh water. But Rosie is still ticked off. She hisses and growls at him and won’t come near me. She is a very small skinny old lady and really can’t afford to skip the meals she is currently boycotting. I hope they’re able to work it out soon. Neighbor says if I can’t keep him she will have to put him down. He’s 16 and deaf. He deserves to have a comfortable old age.
sigh
Have a serene Saturday.

It’s so hard to watch our fur babies deteriorate. You’re giving her wonderful last days (weeks or however long) and that’s so important. Continuing to send {{{HUGS}}} and prayers!

I hope our wonderful craft isn’t dying a slow death. The fire was devastating and worse than everyone thought. Hopefully after they’re back up and running things will get better. It’s sad how many companies have already had to shut down.VickiR wrote: ↑Sat Jul 25, 2026 9:53 amGood morning Cherries! Gorgeous day here again in SE PA. Perfect temps and still no humidity. Whenever Rosie comes near you treat her extra special so she knows she’s still your special kitty. {{{HUGS}}}Charleneanne wrote: ↑Sat Jul 25, 2026 1:56 pmRegular summer day here. Hello Cherries!
I had a MUCH better day yesterday! And I think we’ve stumbled on the answer as to why I’ve been so sick! Hopefully the herb for digestive issues I’ve started taking and a small change will fix things!
I have dishes to wash and I need to cook something for dinner. Other than that I’ll see how it goes.
Have a wonderful Saturday!

Aww...I hope Rosie can tolerate him. Maybe once she realizes he isn't a threat, she will be able to get past his presence. You are such a nice neighbor!Charleneanne wrote: ↑Sat Jul 25, 2026 1:56 pmRegular summer day here. We’re on auto play until end of this coming week. Light breezes, blue skies and mid 90’s. I will be doing some crafting today!I guess our craft is less popular now that people have AI to do everything for them. I just hate that for all arts and crafts. Still trying to show my students that handmade art is more satisfying, more creative, and a better use of our time and resources!

Agreed...it's also sad that some mfgs. are using AI images now too.

Such a cute layout.

That is really nasty for her to say that to you, basically making it up to you if she does that or not. What is wrong with people? Just because her cat is old? And to lay that on you is terrible. You are so sweet to take that baby in.Charleneanne wrote: ↑Sat Jul 25, 2026 1:56 pmRegular summer day here. We’re on auto play until end of this coming week. Light breezes, blue skies and mid 90’s.
