Scrap a Day, August 1st
Hey Cherries. Very humid first day of August. Very typical for here. No plans today other than to get my music challenge up. I got to work on it a lot yesterday so it should go up today.

Have a great day Cherries.

No big plans for today.    Way too hot for anything- they say another over 100 degree day!! Need to get out and water flowers before it heats up.  Yesterday, I got things done and got home.  The heat just zaps every bit of energy out of me.  Thankful for ac.  They say 70 for Monday and looking forward to a short cooldown.

So, will look forward to the new challenges going up today and checking them out.

Re: Scrap a Day, August 1st
Looking like we will get some rain and storms today/tonight.  DH is not feeling well (he has a nasty, summer cold), so we will be staying home this weekend.  Still tons to do in my studio, and around the house, so it's all good.

Re: Scrap a Day, August 1st
Hello Cherries! 🍒

Steve got my dishwasher yesterday and true to form the installation kit is sold separately and he doesn’t have what he needs. So another trip to town is in store. SMH. Hopefully they’ll have what he needs. We don’t have an appliance store on the island so I don’t think the grocery(furniture/appliance store has the kit and probably doesn’t know there isn’t one in the box. So hopefully I’ll have my kitchen back later today.

I really wanted to get more challenges done in July but ran out of time. Such great challenges! So I’m hoping I can get more done this month. It took over 2 hours yesterday but I finally figured out how to scan with my printer so hopefully I will be able to share better pictures of my layouts again!

Hope you’re all having a great day!!!

Re: Scrap a Day, August 1st
Another 100+ day here. Fed the cats and watered everything really good as soon as I got up. I keep water bowls in several places in the yard and garage and refresh it a couple times a day with this heat. Neither silly cat will stay in the house. They don’t seem to care for AC or something.

Looking forward to new challenges today. Getting lots of cards made cause too hot to get out and do anything else. lol. Did this yesterday-stencil and delicata shimmer ink. Anniversary card for daughter/ son-in-law. Image

Stay cool (and hydrated)

Re: Scrap a Day, August 1st
Today is going to be the coolest day in the next week.  It's 84 and humid.  The temps are going up into the 90's by mid week along with the lovely humidity,  Relaxing today and finishing up a few birthday cards for the month.  Also putting together the card basket that I donate to my mother's church every year.  This makes the 10th year! The church is in my hometown and my brother is a member.  I will see him this month at our sibling gathering and pass it on to him for their basket party in September.  There are currently 67 cards in the basket and I plan to round it out at 75 so I have a few more to get done before I see him in 2 weeks.  Then I will make a list of August challenges I hope to work on.  Have a good day Cherries!

Ugh!  Those 100 degree days zap my energy too, and I live in the AC, especially if it's humid.  I was out early this morning to water my flower baskets.  Now, guess where I am?  AC....

Your rain will be heading our way tomorrow night.  I would love a few days of rain to make our lawn green!  Always burns out this time of year.  Hope DH is feeling better soon.

Just when you think your back in business with a dish washer.... Hope it's a quick fix and DH can find the needed kit.  Are you scanning 12 x 12 LOs?  How do you scan them?  I can't scan that big and have no idea how to stitch them together.

Stunning card, Charleneanne!  I'm sure your son and DIL will love it.  Crafting is the best thing to do in this heat!

Got enough stuff cleaned up in my studio and ladies, I SCRAPPED A PAPER LAYOUT!    It was for the first mystery box challenge.  I will post it tomorrow, but I just wanted you to know that I can still do it!  LOL

Isn't that always the way with appliances?!  I hope Steve was able to get what you need.

Artemis doesn't seem to like our a/c, either.  Silly kitty!  She came in this afternoon, since it was cloudy and threatening rain, and she actually stayed inside and slept for about 3 hours.  Your card is gorgeous!
