Scrap a Day, August 2nd
Hey Cherries. Not much going on here today. It continues to be very humid so I’ll be in the a/c other than to get outside and water my flowers. I may scrap. We‘ll see how the day goes.

Have a great day Cherries.

Good morning Barb, it is hot and humid here today too.  Early morning Target run then worked on getting my August challenge up.  Now working on little tooth jars for my classroom littles lose a tooth.  After that hoping to get to the MMC's.  I have not scrapped nearly enough over the summer.  Have a great day everyone.

Temps haven't hit 80 yet but it is humid!  Expecting rain this evening then off and on all week long with temps in the 90's.  I had a restless night and don't plan on doing much today except get into my craft space.  I have a few more cards I need to get done for birthdays this month.

What a great idea for loose teeth.  I know the minion lost a few over the last kindergarten year.

Re: Scrap a Day, August 2nd
After reaching 104 yesterday, thankfully only in the 80’s for today.  Getting smoke from the terrible fire tragedy in Spokane, WA.  Only 6 hours from us.  And it is so very dry in the west after not much winter moisture.
So much going on. DH is on the road east to pick up grandson #1 from Scout camp.  DD and granddaughter are 3 hours to the west, where they enjoyed a concert last evening and headed home.  Son-in- law here with the other 2 grandkids and he needs to get grandson #2 off to scout camp in a different direction.  I decided to stay put.  Don’t think my hip was up to spending 4-5 hours in the car.  Everything here in MT is so far away and we are very centrally located.
Got out for a short walk as we are obviously in poor air quality.  Doing laundry.  DH will actually be home for dinner tonight now the fair is done.  And will just be home and scrap.

Hoping everyone enjoys their Sunday!

Re: Scrap a Day, August 2nd
104 predicted for today and now weather forecast says 100+ temps at least through next Sunday. Oh well hiding in the house from the heat gives me lots of time to clean (ick) or make cards. Lots of great new monthly challenges!!

It’s getting to b like Vampire City around here with this heat. Neighborhood nearly deserted all day then about 20-30 minutes before sundown people start appearing. lol. Guess I’m one of the vampires as I go out for my daily walk about 40-45 minutes before sundown too. lol

Stay cool. :wtf:

Re: Scrap a Day, August 2nd
Hello cherries! Didn't know if I was going to make it on here this weekend. Another busy busy weekend here in South Texas. Up early yesterday as DH and I had plans to drive up to Sugarland to have lunch with his cousin who is from Guatemala. She comes up to the Houston area a few times a year for medical reasons. Her flight left early this morning, so we drove up there yesterday. Left the house at 9:30am and made it there by 12:45pm. Had lunch at Chuy's and got to visit and meet her niece who also came down to visit her from Washington DC. Nice girl. Before heading home, went to the HEB next door to get a food items that my local HEB didn't have on Friday. This HEB was NOICE! LOL. Then gassed up the car and headed back home at 3pm. Got home at 5:30pm. Very little traffic going home, thank goodness. It was a HOT one yesterday  🔥  🔥  Up there, we hit 103 and the heat index was 118. Love that my car has a kick-@$$ ac.  💗  Got home and relaxed the entire evening. Luckily today, we're only 90 degrees (heat index is only 96). We've got cloud cover and a nice breeze.

Slept well and was up by 7:30. Fed everyone, started the laundry and got sausage balls made for breakfast. Been cleaning up my office while folding/hanging up laundry. Even got homemade granola bars and for the first time, 100% came out PERFECT! Got the last load of laundry in the dryer now. Picked my June/July winners and sent out GCs. Need to figure out what I'm going to do for August challenges. Might extend them to Sept as I've got lots going on. I need to work on some DAR scrapbooking too, since we're in August. Lots of JULY events to scrap!

My dad is feeling much better after resting the past few days. But now, he's worried about his 11 lb, 18-yr old chihuahua, Max. He woke up and just couldn't support himself. His back legs just swoop under him  😭 He has managed to potty and stay hydrated, but he doesn't want to eat. Well, no breakfast anyways. But he did have a few treats, which allowed my dad to give him a 1/3 of a Novox. He went back to bed and seemed to help a little. He wants to walk so bad and actually just hops. Its kind of funny to watch, but then at the same sad too. He still wags his tail and doesn't seem to be distressed or in pain.

Anyways, my dryer is calling my name, so off to put away those clothes and hopefully figure out what my challenges are!

Stay cool everyone.

Hello Cherries! 🍒

My dishwasher is installed and works great!!! But just as the first run started my laptop went crazy and I thought it was toast. OMG I was SOOOO upset! The right click bar on the mouse pad got stuck somehow. I cooked and ate dinner then decided to try again. I managed to get it unstuck and it worked fine. Whew!!! I certainly did NOT need that stress!!!

And then it’s already August 2nd and it’s speeding past me too! I need it to slow down for awhile so I can catch up! Lol!

I need to do a couple of things and then I’m going downstairs and do one of the awesome new challenges. They just seem to keep getting better every month!!!

No heat here. Only going to be 63 and that’s pretty much it for the rest of the forecast. Not much rain either. Need to still be careful.

Have a wonderful Sunday!!!

Ginni, I’m so glad your dishwasher works and your laptop is fine. :) This year will not slow down…we have to just keep up, it seems.
