Hey Cherries. Sorry for the late post. I slept in this morning. I got a call from my brother-in-law in Michigan last night and we talked on the phone for over 4 and a half hours. I didn’t get to bed until around 3am. It was really great talking with him. He’s DH’s youngest brother and we did a lot of catching up and reminiscing.
We had torrential rain earlier this morning it was so loud it woke me up. But I was so tired I fell back to sleep. The storm passed and the sun is out now but I see that the dew point is 70 so it’s humid out there. So staying in the comfy a/c sounds like a good plan for today. Yesterday I ended up digi scraping and got a layout done I just have to post it. Today I’ll maybe work on another or get back to working on more cards. We’ll see how it goes.
Have a great day Cherries.

Glad you got to re-connect with your BIL, Barb. We have gorgeous, non-humid weather here. Hopefully, it is headed your way!
The weather is just in time for me to have to go to school and spend my days in my cave. LOL I plan to enjoy it this evening, though. I'm as ready as I'm going to be for the students to arrive tomorrow!

Beautiful weather here this morning. It was 60 degrees and we got out for the 3rd day in a row for a walk. We're supposed to have cooler temps all week and no rain!! Then, we fertilized all the flowers and I'm also doing laundry and towels today. We had rain last evening and during the night so it's a bit muddy for DH to work outside. He's leveling up the backyard and putting in a new block wall to hold the hill back. I'm working on Rachel's weekly sketch right now.
Enjoy your day, everyone!

Happy Sunday, early morning run to grab some white cardstock for class. Open House is Tuesday and wanted to make the kids some bookmarks. Came home and took a wee nap, feeling tired today. Going to wrap up my Open House prep then scrap something between laundry loads. Wishing everyone a great day, whatever it brings you.

Beautiful day today after a thunderstorm that went through in the wee hours of the morning. I slept right through it but DH said it was a doozy. Sunny but humid once again. Did some last minute preparation for the arrival of DH's brother and wife later today. They will be with us all week. My SIL is a scrapper so we will be scrapping while the boys golf.
Had a wonderful visit with my siblings yesterday. Here's a photo of us from oldest to youngest (L to R). I am the second oldest and of course, my younger sister is the "middle child" which she makes sure she reminds us of every time we meet. LOL. My brother Christopher and I always let her know that we are the 3 middle children. It was a great day with much of it spent reminiscing and comparing aches and pains. Never enough time with them...

Hello Cherries!!!!
It’s raining! It’s pouring and the old man is snoring!

This is literally true this morning! Getting quite the downpour which is VERY welcome!
We also had a hen hatch her very first chick this morning. Dale has several more eggs and we have another hen Pepper sitting on a nest that’s due to hatch any day!
And 36 years ago today Steve and I got married in a little chapel in Ketchikan. Hard to believe it’s been that long!!! We were going to try going to dinner at a fancy lodge but my phone won’t take or make calls or texts. SMH! So I couldn’t make the reservation. I think we’re going to stay home and have tuna steak tacos.
I need to go over to Sandra’s for a last minute check to make sure I’ve left things in good order. Their plane got in just a little too late for them to catch the island ferry so they stayed in Ketchikan last night. We will take their truck over to the parking lot this evening so they’ll have a way to get home. They’ve really enjoyed their trip.
I’m hoping I can spend some time in my room working in titles and journaling for the layouts I made while I was house sitting. Then I can post them.
Hope you’re all having an awesome day!!!!

It’s been a couple of busy days here. The Seattle DD arrived on Friday around dinner time. Yesterday we had the grandson’s Eagle celebration. What a nice little celebration and I quite a few folks came. The grandson had a few nice words to say. He hasn’t done much public speaking, so I was quite impressed. His mum said he hardly slept the night before. On Friday, I iced all the sugar cookies I had made. His mum had also ordered cup cakes. All the cookies and cup cakes went. Then last evening I had everyone here for dinner. Not much food was left over from that, either. And I finished up the quilt top. I need to get a picture of the finished product. Looks quite nice. Tomorrow I am driving back to Seattle with the DD and will spend the week there. So will have to work on the quilting project when I get back.
No time for scrapping.
Weather warm and windy. It certainly did not cool off much last night and it was almost 70 F when I got up this morning. Granddaughter starts back to college tomorrow and the younger ones mid week.
Happy Sunday.

Happy Anniversary Ginni and Steve! Hope you have many more!!
The usual heat and hazy/cloudyish skies. 97 predicted. I wait until 30 minutes before sunset to leave for my walk on these yucky days. Drowning in sweat when I get home. Probably TMI lol
No plans other than staying indoors. I’ve only done one challenge so maybe look at my list and see if something on there sparks anything. I’m pretty dull and lackadaisical in summer heat.
Have a nice day.
