Mystery Box Challenge 3 – More Basic Grey - Winner!
The winner is Scrapqueen141/Jamie! Please send me a PM with your address and get your Mystery Box on the way. Thanks to all the Cherries who dug in their stash for this challenge!

-------------------------------------

Your challenge is to create a layout using products from manufacturers that are no longer in business (such as Basic Grey). You may also use products from current manufacturers, but at least one out-of-business manufacturer should be well-represented on the layout – something more than just a couple of stickers, for example. If you do not have anything from out-of-business manufacturers, you may instead use the oldest things in your stash.

I will add a post below with some manufacturers that are no longer in business to get you thinking about your stash.

The prize is a mystery box of items I have accumulated while cleaning/reorganizing my scrap room. Well, it is a semi-mystery box. I will tell you a little about what’s inside so that you can better determine how useful it would be to you:
- 12 sheets of Basic Grey Dawson, plus tags and stickers
- About 13 other 12x12 papers, including 7 sheets of Bella Blvd Lucky Stars.
 - 24 sheets from a 6x6 Lawn Fawn pad
- A variety of embellishments, including chipboard, felt, ribbon and metal items.

Some of the chipboard and felt are sized for 12x12 pages and will not work for 8.5 x 11. A few things are boy-theme, but overall, I think most of the items in this box would be useful for a variety of scrappy projects as long as you are not looking for pink/flowery.

Some rules:
1. Post your entry here. List what items you used from out-of-business manufacturer(s). Add the location on the page of small items.
2. Deadline is 11:59 pm Wednesday, Sept. 16.
3. Must be a new layout. Layouts only.
4. No combining with other challenges except team/prompt-type challenges.
5. One entry per Cherry.
6. Only open to US Cherries due to high cost of mailing the prize internationally.

Any questions, please ask away!

Mystery Box Challenge 2 is still open – check it out here:

Re: Mystery Box Challenge 3 – More Basic Grey
As I went back to my paper scrapping, it seems 90% of my stash are from companies that are no longer. :( It’s sad, but I have a wealth of things to use for this challenge!

Photoplay ended fairly recently, at the end of last year. I was sad to see them go. Especially loved their doggy collections.

Totally agree!  I loved all of their collections.  They were my "go to" mfg. for specific themes for my grandkids.  So sad... and I absolutely love the cardstock.  I'm so sad that no one picked it up.

This is actually 2 of the lines of Authentique Papers called: Sea Maiden collection for the papers, and Utopia for the cardstock die cut sentiments etc. Two K & Co paper die cuts which are the sea shell by the oval title and the compass by the lower right die cut

I used an old pad of Basic Grey- Best of Basic Grey2. These papers were perfect for this Valentine's day layout. I did add some of the valentines they received to the layout:)

Reluctantly digging into stash -- LOL! I know the feeling (especially when using my beloved, hoarded October Afternoon Mini Market alpha stickers). You did put it to good use -- especially love the pops of pink!  Thanks for doing my challenge!

I used Photo Play Camp Happy Bear collection for this layout that I made today. I used pattern papers, cut-apart (wander with compass), animal stickers (next to title) and word stickers (on pictures).
Thank you for hosting this challenge. :-)
