Hey Cherries. I’m up early today waiting on my contractor to come and install two new back doors. I’ve been needing new back storm doors for a while especially the main one that I use. The other one is in my scrap room. Hope I can get to working on my mini album later today.
Have a great day Cherries.
Last of the 80's today and dropping into the 60's tomorrow. Not much going on today except to wash the car and pick up DGD from cheer at 3:30. Hoping to get some photos of my double page LO this evening and get it posted. It's been done for over a week but I keep putting it off. Need to get it done. Have a good day Cherries!

Good morning cherries. Barb, like Vicki said, you sure have been busy with the contractors. You go girl, gettin' things done! Hope you can work on that mini album.
This South Texas girl is DREAMING of cooler temps and low humidity. Summer just won't LEAVE. It's like dude, get loss, nobody wants you anymore. We didn't break any records, but we hit 95 yesterday with a heat index of 111. Any time you step outside (get mail, packages, etc), you can just FEEL the humidity. It was sooo gross. Our humidity was in the 70%, dew point 80 degrees. And apparently, today will be HOTTER
My client's power finally came on at 3pm, so I got to work in peace for quite a while. Got some things done. Odd, though, right 7pm, WE LOST power. Luckily we have a full home generator, so no melting, but still. What the heck? Wind wasn't blowing. No rain, or storms or weird weather. It got restored by 9:30pm.
I think it's exhaustion from the last weekend, stress from work and family drama (yes...more drama...anybody ready for Season 3, Episode 5 of my dad's GF's BS?) but I had a headache yesterday that turned into a full-blow migraine. I took my migraine meds at 3:40pm. Normally it takes 2-3 hrs for it to kick in, but by 9pm, I still had the dumb thing. I can take a 2nd dose 4 hrs after my 1st dose, but I didn't want to pass out in the middle of trying to watch TV. So I waited until bedtime. Woke up feeling rested and it was gone. Hope it stays that way.
Anyways, just work today. I unloaded the dishwasher earlier and have bed sheets in the dryer. Really hoping for a quiet day.

Happy Wednesday cherries, here in urgent care again. Being tested for Covid, flu, strep. Came in with sore throat. If I’m clear of all that I am definitely going to work tomorrow. The kindergarten cooties have definitely found me. It’s the end of the grading period so I need to do some things tomorrow. Today will just be a relax day.

Guess I'll get to washing the sheets today. Maybe this afternoon when it's nicer outside I'll try and do a bit more in the shed. One of these days I need to start cleaning up the veggie beds for the season. I know next year's me will thank me for it. Otherwise, previous season's me gets mad at myself for leaving it until I need to use the beds again.

Yuk! Not my kind of weather for sure. The humidity here was 76% early in the day but the temp was no where near what yours was.blbabe1234 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 14, 2026 9:06 amGood morning cherries. Yay for getting things done on your house Barb! It’s a good time to have them done too. You’ll be all set for winter which is fast approaching. Hope you get to work on your mini album!

Waiting on the info from the 2 adjusters. My aunt's house needs to be worked on first.
Brandy, not sure what you are on for your migraines, but my husband was given Depakote. Worked pretty well. We saw that commercial about Botox, and I said no way in hell.
Temps in the 60's the next few, with one or two upper 50's forecast.

Hello Cherries!
It’s a chilly morning. Got down to 40 last night for the first time. Starting tomorrow we’ve got some nasty weather coming for the weekend. Lots of rain and possibly some winds. We will be fine. We don’t flood here and we’re normally pretty protected from the windstorm. Just won’t be nice at all.
Todsy is kind of a strange day for me. 13 years ago my mom died of cancer. I had spent the last six weeks of her life in Virginia sitting with her every night because she didn’t want to be alone. Dad was in the bed next to her but he would wake her up every time she went to sleep. He had some pretty bad dementia so he didn’t want her to sleep for fear she wouldn’t wake up. So sweet!
And on that very same day in Alaska a little boy named Joe was born to a single mother. Two years later he became our youngest grandchild. He turns 13 today. No more littles in the family.
But he’s a sweet young man who LOVES being outside fishing and building things. How amazing and strange that both of these major life events happened on the same day!
So I always have very strong and mixed emotions in this day. I’m going to take it easy on myself today.
We have some paperwork to fill out so we can get the other half of the grant money we received from the state for our community poultry business. We have to show what Steve did for enlarging the coop and run areas and show the expenses for it all. Just need to print a few Amazon invoices and put it all together.
Hope you’re all having a great day!
