February 1958

by travelerJan 23, 2022
for the winter crop golden girls challenge
Photos of my mom, my aunt, and my dad's car, all from Feb 1958 (nice they put the date on the side of the print back then, and a letter my mom wrote to my Dad, also from that same month, where she mentioned that she worried about my Dad driving around in the snow on the Curvy roads of NJ, she actually mentioned a specific road which is near where I live now, but not where I grew up.

Love that cluster of envelopes

Just wanted to tell you again how much I love this sweet LO! Design-wise, you TOTALLY nailed it with the asymmetrical papers AND the mixed media. It's amazing how fantastic your LO just conveys such a genuine heritage feel with a fresh spin by the retro color scheme and I also love the journaling spot!

Is that the actual letter tucked into a pocket? That's amazing!

It's actually a copy of the letter which I scanned and printed in a smaller size. My sister has the original now.

That's a great way to preserve your mom's words AND preserve the original letter

Beautiful! Perfect line for these vintage photos!
Love that you have these old pics and letters. (I agree - it was nice when they put the date on either the side OR the back!) My mom was a hoarder and I still haven't managed to find the energy to go thru the piles of stuff I extracted from her home.
