Another art journaling page I had to get out. This lyric hits me hard and exactly describes the way I feel whenever I see DH's things, like his clothes hanging in the closet, or his sunglasses in the car. I specifically looked to find a stencil that would work for how I wanted to do this journal page.
I used Simon Hurley's new Solar Paste and brushed it through the stencil. The paste is amazing… shimmery and opalescent on white, but shimmery color on black. I got the idea to use a brush with it when I saw Simon on a video dab a brush through a stencil with the Solar Paste, but I loved the effect I got by just brushing the paste on with a large stencil brush.
I also tore some Dina Wakley collage tissue paper and Mod Podged it on, and then I splattered!! I never splatter! This was so out of my comfort zone. But for art journaling I love the freedom of just getting the feelings out on the page and doing mixed media.
