Thanks for looking.  (Actually the pages should be reversed. The words should be on the left page, pictures on right)I have been wanting to do a page documenting what I was doing when the twin towers were hit. Kind of like where were you when Kennedy was shot
I concentrated on the Heros of Flight #93. The coordinating page I did for this has the names of the ones pictured, along with an embossed photo of the second plain going into the twin towers.
This is my way of paying tribute to them and recording my thoughts and feelings of the moment. I put a black net thingy (not sure who made it or what it's call) over the background to give the darker image to the faces of the "Heros".

The journaling reads: JUST ANOTHER DAY……… It was a beautiful sun filled morning. Fall was in the air and the start of a new day. People everywhere were making their way to work, stopping for coffee, just another day. Unbeknown to the world there were others getting up, planning the day that would change the lives of Americans forever. I was no different. I had just left my house heading to the office when I heard on the radio that a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center in New York. They said it was a private commuter plane. My first thought was the pilot must have had a heart attack to have flown into such a tall building. Then the breaking news: several planes had been hijacked and this was NOT a commuter plane but commercial airliners.I rushed into my office and turned on my small television set just in time to see the reports and watch the second plane hit the remaining World Trade Center Tower. Oh my God, I could not believe my eyes. The buildings were on fire and my only thought was all the people trapped inside of the building. As tears rolled down my face I watched in horror as the building crumbled. It was all I could do to contain my sorry because I knew that all those people trying desperately to leave the building were now dead. I prayed silently that some would be found alive, somehow, under all the rubble.
The news continued…… A plane crashing into the Pentagon, another one plane dissolved to ashes in a crater somewhere in Pennsylvania. Questions filled my mind: Who, What, and Why would anyone, could anyone do this. The name Osama bin Laden was mentioned over and over. Sadly, I had never heard of him until now. I would never forget that name ever again. A terrorist that hated the USA and all Americans. For days I was glued to the television as details came across the newswire. Hearing reports of all the firemen, policemen and everyday American citizens trying to help their fellow man. The men and women of United Airlines Flight 93 foiled the plans of the hijackers to hit yet another historical landmark, reportedly The White House. In their last moments, they were able to call their loved ones ~ mothers, fathers, husbands, wives ~ telling them one last time how much they loved them, saying their goodbyes. Deciding not to go down without a fight these brave men and women stormed the cockpit with the now famous words “Let’s Roll”.
These people are my HEROS! They gave the ultimate sacrifice to save the lives of others. They could have just sat in their seats and done nothing. Instead, they chose to fight back, not to become hero’s, but because it was the right thing to do. Many had plans for the future: family get-togethers, dinners, parties, work appointments. Never realizing their names would be forever emblazoned in the minds of all Americans forever. September 11, 2001: I will always remember that day and the HERO’s that gave their lives to save others, and that it was NOT, JUST ANOTHER DAY………
